  1. It'll be a bills rat l trap for stripers in La Salle IL at a power plant on the 17th of March. It's the same ever year for me.
  2. After searching honestly I'd like to hear more opinions on the lure. How do you use it, when do you use it? What do you use on it? It's one of two baits I'm trying to incorporate into the new year. The other being the chatter bait. Anyway, how to you use it? What times of year etc.
  3. I always offer half and ask them what they feel half is and pay what they ask.
  4. The closest river to me thats big or fast enough not to freeze is 3.5 hour drive and is the Mississippi
  5. St croix tournament bass rod. You can't go wrong with this rod at half your budget cost. I had this rod, and I miss it greatly. It's the one rod I regret selling when I switched companies.
  6. In my lake, with my gear, no electronics for either of us and he gets a spincaster? I'd have a chance. Not a great chance, but still a chance.
  7. I absolutely never fish deep for bass unless the water tempature is really cold. Especially in the summer months, I find bass stay with vegetation in structure close by. I get hit constantly under docks near thick weeds.
  8. I don't want to have to go to general to help with reels, tackle to help with knots, and other species to help with line and rod choices. Having moved notations is far less annoying than looking through six sub sections for one subject.
  9. Biospawn vile craw Any twister tail grub I have laying around or is inexpensive.
  10. You don't want them, you want biospawn vile craws instead.
  11. I've had days fishing that I look back and it makes me shed a tear at the number of baits i lost and the cost. I've lost countless 8 dollar and up lipless cranks. They seem to be the worst for me, but like everyone else said its the name of the game. Once it's gone, it's gone.
  12. Waters frozen, has been for weeks, or months. Bass season is closed.
  13. I feel like once a week we answer a question about this reel. Is it great? No, not by any stretch of the imagination. It is however the best baitcaster you'll find anywhere for under 70 dollars retail.
  14. I use literally whatever I have on hand. I just spooled a new ***, all I had was high end flouro, so its backed with that.
  15. I cut a peice of foam to glue to the top of plano boxes, and glue the dividers to the base. That keeps everything where it needs to be.
  16. Do you guys have a preferred knife, or head lamp you guys bring with you? I use a Tops Jackal 5 knife. I'm currently looking at getting myself a headlamp so I'm looking at the nitecore hc30 headlamp.
  17. 10 individual baits. Multiple sizes in them.
  18. First lure was a night crawler under a bobber. First artificial lure was a spinner bait.
  19. Soft plastics, worms from biospawn, biospawn vile craw, strike king rage pit boss, zoom flukes, some tubes from whatever brand I'm not particular on this. You'll also want to pick up a couple spinner baits. Good luck have fun.
  20. 6lb lm, I was playing with a fluke, missed a strike, used a tube for a quick follow up. Nailed it.
  21. You can find a craw in a mud pile 100 yards from a lake hiding in cover. If it has water in the continental united states it has craw fish.
  22. If I had to pick a single company it would be a coin flip decision between zoom and biospawn. Zoom offers more options, but I love the quality biospawn has for it's limited array.
  23. Cabelas, or huk gear.
  24. I've got myself a wish list I'm hitting purchase on within the next two weeks and I cannot waitttttt
  25. Spring sale, end of February through March depending on location. I spoke with the people and Cabelas, GM, Dicks, and BPS. They all told me the same thing, all of the spring stuff will be on the shelves by March 15th at the latest, the goal is March 1st.
