This brings a point up that I have beleve need addresing. about two weeks ago my truck was broken in to i had to take the day off work spend $150.00 to get my window replaced. on top of all that i had to put up alight in my yard. Day off work $150.00 window $150.00 new light $50.00 replacing me fishing hat and jacket they stole $25.00 (thats all they got) So when I called the police to make a report I'm exspecting a viset from someone. nope I got a go to this web sight and fill out the on line report. So i ask will some one come out and investagat after i fill out the report. the Nice lady on the other side of the phone said We are way to bizzy and under maned to come out and investigat a simple brake in.. dosn't make sens if they came out and found out Who did this and arrested them then that would be one less person to worry about do that a few hundred times people start getting the clue. then crime starts dropping police have more time to handle things. but getting tham to do there jod is like pulling teeth out of a donky sorry for the hijack

Yep.. $3.40 here in Calif. I don't own a boat but i have to think about where I'm going. today i wanted to out stiper fishing in Reo Vista (45 min. drive=$20.00 in gas ) thought about it and Im going 15min from home. and hopping I'll hook into some blue gill :-[ it just sucks and all remember November is the chepest gas all year next spring we are looking at $4.00 a GAL. mayby $5 I'll have to sell my @$$ to go fishing

I use a 6'6" mh with 12 lb mono for senkos and texas rigs. I also use a 7'6" H with 65lb braid for 7" senkos and jigs.

Stay away from Pacu's I have one 2" when i first got it now 12 years later (yes 12 years) 18"-20" and around 5-8 lb and growing . He was fun at first. but now its like having another kid to feed. stick with oscer there cool fish to raise one of the few fish that you can train to do tricks and are very awar of you out side of the tank...

Really? If so I didn't know that. I know that if you catch a pike you're required to kill it by law and report it, but never heard that about carp. I know a couple guys that fish for carp almost exlusively and they never said anything about it. They just keep the big ones and throw the small ones back. Yep. Its a invasive fish...

A good size Pacu can chomp your finger away with ease, they have even more powerful teeth and jaws than piranhas that only eat flesh, pacus on the other hand have to bite through ver hard skinned fruit and nuts. I'll second that i have a pacu he is about 20" long and is about 8lbs. He will bite a carrot in two with no problem and smashed the rim of a alumnem fishng net when i was tring to fish him out of the tank. there no joke and cam get up to 3 feet long and eat any thing

I don't know about VA but in CA it is illegle to return a live carp to the water.

I feel your pain buddy. I fish a small public pond that hase some bass in it. Every spring I see people taking a butt load of fish out of it. i'm talking familes of 15 or twenty people taking every thing they catch. It kills me becuse the rest of the year you can't catch squat out of it and have to walk 3 more miles to another pond to fish... I call F&G every year and they come out and check my frigin license the next day when nobody is around. Never fales. I'm sure they catch some of them but not enough..
