  1. i fish deep diving cranks on fireline braid 65 /15 diameter over rocks all day without a retie.yes it frays slightly after a whole day but it never snaps!!!i walk the crank up and down the rocks with it.this is yet another area where i think it surpasses all other braids.
  2. i have 2 $500 combos at the bottom of my lake.hope the fish are using them and laughing at me.
  3. i use the regular braid.the only difference is the colors.the line doesn't hold any more water than any other braid.i have not found it to be an issue.the regular braid holds it's color better than any other.i cannot speak for tracer braid on that point.
  4. what waxy gummy coating are you talking about?powerpro has the worst coating in the world.to me that's a waxy gummy coating.the new fireline braid loses some color and softens a bit but i would hardly call it a waxy gummy coating.
  5. you don't know what you are missing!!! ;D
  6. get a johnny morris signature series.
  7. bps has the best reel seats going.i've been fishing them since 1996 and never had one loosen.get a johnny morris signature series.
  8. if you want to catch more fish it does!!!
  9. braid softens as it gets older.braid can last 10 years or longer.as far as less noise i think you are just getting used to it.try fireline braid.it's better than sufix.
  10. rapala dts are fantastic!!!i fish them on 15 pound diameter 65 lb test fireline braid.i walk them over rocks and the fireline braid holds up all day without a retie.i also love rapala lipless cranks and there new 7/8 oz. lipless single ball cranks.
  11. you're thimking of regular fused fireline.we are talking about fireline braid.it's new this year.
  12. i have no problem with fireline braid in rocks.but then again i fish 65 pound in rocks.i check the line often and retie if needed.imho the samurai is nowhere near the fireline in abrasion resistance.it is smoother and quieter.overall i like fireline better.others may like samurai better.they both blow away powerpro and sufix.
  13. works great!!! i use 20 pound on spinning.the reason they say for baitcasting is original fireline stinks on a baitcaster and was good on spinning.
  14. extremely smooth and quite on guides.extremely limp and prone to windknots.the extreme softness of this line gives it the worst abrasion resistance of any braid i ever tried.my sugestion would be fireline braid.it's almost as smooth but has much more body and has far greater abrasion resistance.
  15. first of all ditch the outdated powerpro and get some fireline braid.secondly use 50 lb or heavier on a baitcast reel and save the 20 for spinning.
  16. you cannot titanium coat a graphite sideplate so they have to be aluminum.
  17. johnny morris signature series rods by bass pro shops.i don't think there's a better rod made.
  18. most of the noise is from your reel levelwind.that said fireline braid is the best braid and quite.
  19. powerpro is outdated and from the stone age. ;D
