  1. mono is strechier than flouro and helps keep fish from tearing treble hooks loose.you can fish flouro with cranks but a lot of guys prefer mono.i personally have not completely made up my mind.
  2. flouro is not invisible.no line is.it is less visible.flouro is not only for finesse.it's good for flipping also.flouro is the most abrasion resistant line.i suggest seguar invizx.it's the flouro haters flouro. mono is a good all round line.greaat with cranks and spinnerbaits and topwaters. braid is good in heavy grass.i suggest sufix braid.
  3. when i shore fish with bushes and trees i use a 5-6 pistol grip.if i'm at a pond with no bushes or trees i'll use longer rods.
  4. imho the palomar is the quickest most reliable knot around..
  5. red turns grey as it sinks.this makes it blend into the water because most water is not gin clear..green is great in green water.clear mono is exactly what it says.the problem is some clear mono is shiney and reflects light back.if i'm reading you right maybe you should try some seguar invizx clear flouro.
  6. i think my bps rick clunns with the hybrid brake cast great.actually better than my trion or president which are also good.i have noticed line has a lot to do with it.
  7. less centrifugal brakes = possible backlash at front of cast.if you want more distance loosen the spool tension and use more thmb as needed.the pfluegers generally need more centrifugal brake than a shimano ime.
  8. right on.i hate people who knock products they have never used.you should at least borrow a friends and fish with it before you form an opinion.
  9. the guys i know who have used it love it.
  10. flouro will last a season.braid will last years.cajun red cast will last 3/4 of a season.this is if you use a product like kvd line and lure spray on the line.
  11. pflueger trion round reels are the best deal out there in round reels.
  12. According to who at BPS???? it says so in their catalogs.
  13. according to bps they make there own top end rods.
  14. looks like mine except mines the blue denny brauer model.great bags.
  15. get a cabela's super magnum.they are also available in waterproff versions.
  16. i use a 5-6 pistol grip for spinnerbaits and rattle traps when i want extreme accuracy casting.as for a reel i would get a pfluger narrow spool trion or a rick clunn bps reel.both are $99.
  17. i love bps rods and the johnny morris rods are as good as any out there.i have 2 rick clunn baitcasters with the hybrid centrifugal/magnetic brake.imho this is the best system made.
  18. i am going to get one of them.

  20. how can we possibly believe braid can be invisible?
  21. i use a 4000 size spinning reel for 10 lb line.advantages are less line twist do to bigger spool and a heavier drag.the reel will also take more abuse because everything inside is beefier.over 10 pound line i use a baitcaster.
  22. it helps with stopping throwing loops on the spool but not line twist.
