  1. i'm really loving this stuff.20 lb.for flipping.
  2. the lines i am about to list are each the most manageable best handling lines in their class.try one and be happy. flouro = seguar invizx braid = suffix mono = cajun red CAST
  3. a friend of mine treid samurai and said it was to soft and had no abrasion resistance.i don't know because i can't afford it.i know it is super smooth.i voted for suffix.i think all around it is the best.
  4. that's one of the smartest posts i've ever seen on any forum!!!i would add that imho sensitivity is of major importance at all times.i would add that what line you use has as much to do with it if not more than the rod.stretchy lines are not sensitive.i think feeling exactly what your spinnerbait blades are doing is important.you can feel when a bass is behind the bait by the change in the blades.you are better prepared for the strike.you can have a forgiving combo that is still sensitive so as not to rip out hooks.
  5. if flouro is close to invisible why do we color it green?wouldn't that make it easier to see in clear water?i personally would stick to clear flouro.
  6. i think that's the one that smacked my friend. ;D
  7. that's where they break.it's the stress point.muddy,if you hold your spinning rod and grab the reel body and twist it will move.as far as spinning reels goes if you are fishing light line with a light drag you'll never notice it.it's when you start using heavier line or braid and tighten down the drag that issues start to happen.i have a friend who used to fish frogs on 30 lb braid on spinning equipment because he hates baitcasters.after breaking numerous reels he went to all aluminum frames and the problems stopped.he has finally added baitcasters to his line up.
  8. i agree with raul %100!!!i've had graphite spinning reel necks break and my buddy has had baitcaster reel feet break and got smacked and cut across his face by the reel flying off.i will never buy a reel with a graphite frame again.they are not made as good as rods are.i've never seen aluminum or magnesium break.graphite also flexs causing bearing and gear misalignment.
  9. i have never had a palomar knot failure on any line except berkley vanish.i think any knot would fail with vanish.i will keep using my palomar until i die.
  10. i voted for the president but here's a few others. http://www.all-americanoutdoors.com/inc/sdetail/5548 http://www.all-americanoutdoors.com/inc/sdetail/592 http://www.all-americanoutdoors.com/inc/sdetail/594
  11. a used trion in good shape.actually you might be able to ebay one new for 80.
  12. PUT AWAY BOTH THOSE LINES AND GET SEGUAR INVIZX.
  13. flouro carbon does stretch.it stretches when it reaches it's pound test limit.from what i have read it only happens once.i suggest seguar invizx.
  14. congratulations.like i've said before they are as good as any rod out there.
  15. Irrelevant, if you cast with your right hand and reel with your left using a spinning reel, why would you not do the same thing with a baitcaster :-?? Myself, I cast with my right hand and retrieve with my left for both baitcasters and spinning. Just curious. Maybe I'm weird ;D. because when i started fishing spinning reels all had the handle on the left and baitcaster had it on the right.the spinning reel handle is larger and sits under the rod and the baitcaster handle is smaller and sits over the rod.the end result is when i try to reel a left handed baitcaster it feels totally uncordinated.switching hands is easy and you don't even think about it.
  16. when fishing cranks with a fast retrieve reel all you have to do is use the rod to move the bait and reel the slack line in with the reel.
  17. all of those generalizations are based on using the same rod.of course you can compensate and use a softer rod and less drag with braid.
  18. ROFLMAO!!!sometimes i wish that we only had stren mono to chosse from like when i was a kid!!!actually i couldn't even put that stuff on my reels now but it sure was simple then.
  19. i have read about that also.upon furthur reaserch i found that flouro stretches at it's upper limit of it's pound test rating and once it streches it does not go back to it's same length.once this happens it does not seem to hurt the line.
