  1. titcus 8-17-07 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- pete and i fished from 6 to 9 in between thunderstorms last night on titicus.at first the night was unproductive.we fished weedbeds with eveything we had but only produced 1 chugbug fish for pete.i then decided to go and fish crankbaits.this proved to be a great decision as we wound up with 10 fish in the boat and a few quick releases at the side of the boat.a rare but welcomed smallie showed up on my crank last night.he fought like a fish that was on roids.this fish went absolutely beserk.we decided to cut the night short as we saw lightening in the southern sky. pete's chug bug bass
  2. that depends who ties it.i tie a palomar with seguar invizx and cinch it down in my mouth so it is real wet.i have not had a single knot failure using this combo.
  3. for the money it's a great buy.i have a 5-6 pistol grip i love.
  4. seguar invizx flourocarbon.
  5. Coming from a man that for a long time so strongly endorsed braid is a BIG statement. Thanks! I'll give it a try. make sure you put it on and treat it.it's ok without treatment but better with it.
  6. to all flourocarbon haters, get seguar invizx.i was once a flourocarbon hater like you guys.i cursed the stuff.then i found invizx.you have to spool it on soaked in hot water then when it drys treat it with kvd's line spray.it is the smoothest flouro out there.i suffer almost no line twists.i do use it on a 4000 size spinning reel in 10 pound test.i use 15 and 20 on my baitcasters.i have to say i think you get more bites with flouro.on days when fishing was tough i have out caught my friends using this line.abrasion resistance is awesome.
  7. switch to a good flouro like seguar invizx.
  8. cajun red cast mono or seguar invizx flourocarbon
  9. if you balance your rods to the exact center of the reel seat then reel weight makes no difference.
  10. i think he means baitcasters.
  11. we invited the owner to come on nybass.com and answer qiestions about his lure.he bailed.that should say enough.
  12. other than tackle tours affliction for high end tackle i'd have to say they are fairly unbiased.
  13. 20-14-10 in that order.
  14. it's obviously a collectors edition.i would never fish it.contact shimano and see what you can find out.
  15. And I do? The Citica can be had for $100 shipped from various online retailers. Show me a better deal on any reel out there. i would but a trion narrow spool over a citica any day.
  16. i'd go with a pflueger supreme or summit.or wait untill the fall and get the new patriarch coming out. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast07reelspg5.html
  17. i think it's beautifull!!!
  18. why?ken whiting is a rod building genius.maybe carrot fibers are better.
  19. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast07rodspg11.html whose gonna buy one first?
  20. per terry baksay, who is on all star's team, the platinum blank is the old titanium blank with alconite guides and reduced $50 in price because it went to a 3 year warranty.the im10x are the same blanks with fuji guides because they had guide issues so they switched them to fuji.there is no difference in the blanks according to terry baksay.ANY BRAND OF ROD CAN BE BROKEN AND MOST ROD FAILURES ARE USER ABUSE.
  21. that's complete garbage.the guides are better and the blanks are the same.they did introduce a couple of lower end models and they aren't bad either.
