  1. i've caught plenty of 5's and heavy 4's on senkos.so much for being a small fish lure.
  2. imho, best mono = cajun red cast imho, best flouro = seguar invizx imho, best braid = sufix they all have advantages and weaknesses.
  3. I DON'T LIKE GRAPHITE FRAMED REELS.THE PRESIDENT SPINNING REEL IS GRAPHITE.TO MUCH STEM FLEX.
  4. thanks.most forums limit to 5 pics.
  5. like seguar invizx. ;D
  6. i caught most of mine on a wacky rig yumdinger 5 inch in bumblebee pattern.caught one on a shakey head zoom trickworm watermelon color deadsticked in 20 fow and 4 shallow on a booyah 3/8 white double colorado spinnerbait.

  9. 6-13-07 was the nybass get together on whaley lake in holmes ny.we had 10 boats and 22 anglers.everybody got into fish and had a great time.i caught 20 bass this day.whaley is a #s lake with most fish at 1.5 to 2.5 pounds.a 4-12 is the largest fish we have ever caught out of this lake.we fish it strictly for fun.heres a few pictures i took. me with a whaley bass john olsen, owner of BEARPAW'S BAITS with a whaley bass.
  10. i only use the original power worms.
  11. get yourself a good 6-6 to 7 mh rod.get some 10 or 20 lb braid or a good flouro like seguar invizx 8 -10 lb.you will now be feeling things you have never felt before.when you feel a tap reel down all the slack and set the hok.do not pull the rod past approx 80 degrees as this is how you bust tips.
  12. I AGREE ON THE RECOIL GUIDES WITH BRAID.if you don't use braid they are fine.guys i know who have them love them as long as it's not braid.i have the regular johnny morris with sic guides and they are a fantastic rod that i would rate with any rod.
  13. i don't care who makes them.for the money they are a nice reel.
  14. no you aren't.as far as i know pflueger makes those reels.either way they are decent.i have 2 rick clunns i love.the braking system is a hybrid magnetic centrifugal with a dial that i think is the best i have ever used.
  15. that's why i'm giving it a whole season to make up my mind.
  16. I WOULD START WITH STUDYING THE SEASONAL PATTERNS OF THE BASS AND TAKE IT FROM THERE.no sense throwing something inappropriate to whatever pattern they are in.by now they would be in a summer pattern so other than early morning or night your topwater patterns may be short lived depending on how hot it is when you are fishing.hot summer weather will cause them to bury under thick weed matts real deep if you have them in your reservoir.if not then docks with deep water might be the ticket.i'm not saying you won't find fish shallow but deep is usually better.
  17. line is a major factor in backlashes.braid backlashes the least followed by limp mono.flouro used to be the worst but seguar invizx is changing that.the worst casting line i have ever used was the old formula vanish followed by cajun red lightning mono.the best casting mono i ever used is cajun red cast.
  18. pflueger medalist at $79 or supreme at $99.
  19. booyah 1 oz jig or a tube with a 1 oz bullet weight.you flip them up in the air and whip them down so they punch through the matt.

  21. i know a lot of guys who wacky rig with ewg hooks including me.it works great.
  22. hello!!!!once again, vanish was reformulated and is not the same line most of you hate.i tried it when i was looking for a flouro to use and it really wasn't bad.it was far better than the old formula which was terrible.
  23. i have also heard that if you stretch them out after each use it keeps them more manageable.
