  1. please rank what most nutritional for bass to eat
  2. I love it! Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers or discredit Kansas' bass potential. Just don't here much about it. And I think I'll take you up on that offer. That's extremely generous. Top shelf.
  3. I'm pulling for you man. You've got a passion for the sport I love and sharing that with others is awesome. Btw. I hope Ill soon have the opportunity to fish Kansas. It's flying under the radar as a bass state
  4. I wouldn't advise guiding as a primary source of income. Or leaving a steady job to guide. I think it would be hard breaking into the industry at some of the top lakes in the country. Much less Kansas. I can't imagine Kansas coming to mind when anglers are thinking of a destination to go fishing.
  5. You experience any torque steer while trolling on high speed
  6. I have a m.k. edge 70# motor that has very bad torque steer especially on the highest speed setting (5). Does any one know how I can make it better? Question 2 does any one else have this problem with their t.m's
  7. Details: 18.5 foot glass boat, edge 70# t.m. 8 years old. Problem: hellacious torque steer especially on high speed (speed 5). Most likely will upgrade to maxxum (don't really see the value return of fortrex) but if anyone could help I would really appreciate it.. regards, Clint
  8. No but it felt like it. Lots of current at the spillway from flooded conditions. cypress springs,Bob Sandlin , monticello, 3 lakes connect by 2 dams. Each flowing into the other.
  9. First day of the year I'll be very lucky to catch a bigger one this year. 2oz from a p.b.
  10. X3 ...it's tip heavy if you're really getting critical. Sensitivity is off the charts.fast enough tip to whip super long cast. Strong enough back bone to stroke a 3/4 oz in 25 foot of water.
  11. Braid is the most sensitive on a tight line. Any slack and it's zero sensitivity. F/c in my hands isn't far behind braid. But is much better sensitivity on a slack line. I switched to braid at the beginning of the year for c rig, paired with an nrx 873 crr, the lightest bites. Feel violent.
  12. Any reel that starts with an S" and ends in an "o"
  13. The 300 e Is sick. Love mine but it's becomming a classic. Time for a new 300 low profile. Why isn't it happened yet?
  14. Maybe sac for nor cal, got delta clear lake, new melones, lake X, not super close to any thing but close enough for die hard like us. I lived in ukiah (20 mins from clear lake) for 4 years, and 10 miles from Fork for the majority of my life. I'm very fortunate.
  15. I was gonna say Mayflower,tx for that same reason. But. The best imo is Winnsboro, Tx has Fork right there and close to a dozen awesome sleeper lakes that get over looked. San Diego , Ca crossed my mind but nah. You'll get fee'd up the a $$ before you get to wet a line.
  16. I'm in the same boat, literally. And am interested in a power pole. Does your boat have a jack plate?
  17. I am left handed. I Cast with the left hand and reel with the right. I learned to fish with a zebco then straight to a hand me down Shakespeare president 1980. Hadn't fished a spinning reel until becoming pretty proficient with a b.c. I have a hard time reeling left handed.
  18. Awesome pics. I lived in ukiah for 5 years before moving back to Texas several good lakes up there. And I second that the trout color works everywhere. It gets crushed over here and I'm positive these fish have never seen a trout. I'm trying to keep this swimbait bite a secret. Because it's blowing up. Luckily most people won't commit to big obnoxious swimbait. And I'm starting to like these 3d trout better than my hudds. Great baits
  19. I have 1 of those and it swims tilted almost at a 45 degree angle to one side , is there any way to correct this
