  1. great decision. I've got shimanos that cost almost twice a new curado and though maybe a tad smoother, slightly narrower/ergonomic. More bearings in places that aren't imperative. The return of value is so marginal (I forgot what dvt. Calls this) that I'll never buy another general purpose reel other than a curado. Let's see if the I models hold up like the previous generations. I've got D's, E's and I's. Missed the boat on the G series. Due to other people's opinions although I'm sure it's not that bad either
  2. I've only handled them in my local marina They seem nice. Not as refined or Balanced as the orochii xx.
  3. I don't know where you're getting your information from but the U.S. certainly isn't among the top exporters of crude. Not only that we have been under an oil export ban since the 70's. I'm not an expert on the matter. But I believe you are giving false information.http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/oct/11/obama-stands-firm-against-lifting-us-oil-export-ba/?page=all
  4. What's the 11 o'clock balance trick?
  5. I thought my nrx was tip heavy too. Don't let it bother you just start fishing and you'll probably forget about it
  6. never used one. I have curados chronarchs scorpions and a core
  7. it's really I'm very comfortable with shimano and the breaking system is great for me, all the shimano lay outs are basically the same. So that's what I stick with
  8. Thinking about doing the unthinkable. Wanna here some comparisons pros and cons.
  9. I use orochii xx emtf, or imx/e6x 843 mbr
  10. Chrome will reflect sunlight making it appear shiny until it gets to a depth where sun doesn't penetrate. Making it appear the same color as the water. Chrome blue back rattle trap is my best all time crank
  11. mega bass vs enigma is probably like corvette zr1 vs lambo. Totally different, huge price gap, huge technology gap, same lap times
  12. Bass sunline structure f.c. for worms and jigs. Big game 12 15 or 20 for everything else. Braid for frogs. Have braid on my c rig rod right now. I like it so far. With big game leader
  13. There's a new lake called pichacos only been open for 2 seasons.supposed to be just as good or better than el salto. I'd forget about florida. For me it would be a no brainer and I'd go to LA PERLA RANCH, Tx. Then Mexico.
  14. I have a D100 curado it's not big at all. Though I've never fished a D200 it may be large. The D100 is a joy to fish
  15. I must be the only one that's never cleaned a fishing rod... water spots don't bother me
  16. I think they have centrifugal brakes figured out very well. And that's one of the reasons I like them I hardly ever touch them. Ive had speedspool, smoke, revo, bps, and settled on shimano about 5 years ago. Until I have a reason to go elsewhere I'll stick with curados.
  17. I've heard Aaron say in a b.r. interview that he uses the best equipment he can regardless of money or sponsership. And seeing that he switched, from megabass to enigma says alot for enigma. Sure is ugly though.
  18. Lol I see. I absolutely love the new curados.
  19. Also depends on the model of the reel. Curados and chronarchs vary from 50,100 ,150,200,300 I presume you're talking about the latest models
  20. My boats pretty squared away until you open the glove box in the other console... definitely wouldn't go feeling around in there with my hand
  21. The curado 200I, has a slightly wider spool than the chronarch 150 cI4. Chronarch Palmability is a finely shaved hair better. Not sure about the metanium I believe it's a 150 size.
