OK thanks for the tips guys. I'm kinda on a budjet though so anything over $20 is a little steep. Mattlures Baby Bass are dirt cheap compaired to most baits, and they seem to work great from what I hear. I'll probaly fish them and the Sunfish models to start out with. Does Fish Chris have anything to say opon this topic? Thanks Matt

bones and nature-ish stuff I find. right now i have: 1 turtle shell bear leg bone (from side of the road) bear pelvis bear spinal cord deer rib deer leg bone deer sculls 2 sets of deer antlers squirrel tails (from roadkills and huntend squirrels) dried fish tounge (from brazil) buckeye (the nut) blue heron feather racoon tail (road kill) I used to have dozens of deer skulls, birds nests and snakeskins, but one day my mom started to clear my room when i wasnt looking and they got tossed. :'( :'( :'(

I usualy keep my nose out of this stuff, but I'm going to share my .02. What is better, number one or number two? #1 100 billion dollars spent on war. Some people in Amercia get paid less. Gas prices are 75 cents higher. Thousands of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people live and die free. $2 No money spent on war. Some people in america get better pay. Gas prices normal. Thousands of Iraqi's are under tyrant rule, a million have been murdered becuase Saddam doesnt like them, and the number of his victoms grows each day. If they dont like the goverment, they disapear and are never heard of again. Hundreds of inocent people are inprisoned and abused. In bolth #1 and #2 there will be American deaths. How many US troops have died in the war? How many US civilians died in 9/11? Freedom has no price. 100 trillion zillion dollars shouldnt be standing in the way of another free country. People complain about gas prices all the time, while the people in Iraq have much more to complain about than that. They had to complain about getting murdered by the thousands. If there wasn't 2500 US troops that took the sacrifice, then there would be several million more people on this planet under a rule of death. If every American took up arms and gave all their money to fight a war that should be fought, this world would be a better place to live, even if you had to pay 4 bucks for each gallon of gas. JMHO and nothing more. God bless America, Canada, Mexico, Britain, Japan, Germany, Iraq, and every other country that is free or should be free! *edited for typo

I prefer a buzzbait with three blades on one prop. Never have tried double prop buzzbaits, and the triple blades/one prop work better than the single prop, so I use them. Also adding a clacker inproves the bite ratio IMHO.

WOW what a great game. To bad brady had to spoil everything and throw the ball to a guy who was plastered with 2 defenders. I was on the edge of the couch the whole 4th quater. They said it was the greatest comeback in a AFC Champion game ever. I think the colts earned their trip to the super bowl. COLTS ALL THE WAY!!!!!

Close game! tied with 5 minutes left. The pats have had alot of a messy plays, and thanks to that the colts are still in it. BTW Dan Klecko (the fat colts player that scored the touchdown) is my dad's friend's friend's son!

Yo guys the salt residue is good stuff! You can take it off with a firm bristle brush and put it in your GYCB bait bags and give your plastics a extra salty finnish! The salt from the front hood is enough to marinate 4 bags of 6" senkos! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Looks like the bears will take the game. Last time i checked they where ahead by 3 TDs and they had the ball, and it was the 4th quater. Too bad, I was rooting for the saints... :-/ Well we can hope that the Patriots lose, then we will have a good old fashing superbowl, Bears Vs Colts.

OK I orderd a mattlures panfish to get me started. I'll be getting some other swimbaits next month, and I'll consider the other baits mentioned. Thanks for the tips guys.

Well I finaly got the money together to get a swimbait combo. Right now I'm planning on getting Mattlures, but if anyone else has other swimbait brands that are good I open to sujestions. I'm look at something around 2oz, but my rod will be able to go up to 6oz. I need something that can handle 8-13lb bass, with a good strong, sharp hook. (or hooks) Thanks Matt

Hey guys, this thread got me thinking. I wonder if bass fishing (or fishing in general) can acualy become addicitng over time? To the point where, you cant stop fishing without side effects. I bet it is... becuase I know for a fact cabin fever is a real illness. Who knows?

Anyone know how much ***.com charges shipping for a rod? Its a 7'11" if that helps any.... I'm getting it for swimbaits. I was going order the rod from the Okuma fishing site, but they charge 30 bucks. So i'm trying to find someplace cheaper. BTW does anyone know if the Okuma Guide Select Swimbait rods are one peice?
