Well i have to say i got alot more than most people in the world do, and im thankful for this. My dad doesnt get much pay, but some good friends got me some nice stuff and i spent christmas eve fishing with buddies and all of today with my family. IMHO that is more inportant than stuff that gets sold at a yard sale in spring.

I use one medium 7' rod and one med-heavy 6'6" and if you ask me that covers all the fishing i do. Topwater, cranks, spinners, and plastics on the 7ft and the rest on the 6'6".

I usualy stay out of matters such as this, but i cant help myself this time. I have to say that was a extreamly rude thing to post, shorty. Just becuase one out of a hundred thousand UPS drivers stole your package doesnt mean you should post that on a thread where somone is talking about their hard work at UPS. Now i dont faver UPS over FedEx, But if i hated UPS and somone was talking about the hard work they put in to make it a better service, I wouldn't make a post about how much i hated them. I would contact UPS via email, and talk to them about it, and go one with life. LBH is a hard working man, so give credit where credit is due. And send your complaints where they belong. just my humble .02

Sunday afternoon all my siblings got home from collage, so our family had our christmas tree set up (its a fake tree) and decoration party. Incase you dont know, i come from a family of 7 and we are all a quite rowdy bunch and can get quite goofy, and the christmas season is no exeption. Yeah here in central NJ the ice is starting to form. I have already put my rods away and am nearly going crazy waiting for spring. This one thought consoles me: 92 days till the middle of march and counting!

Try to hold the part of the cork that is above the reel. (easier with spinning) That will help prevent it to slip out of your hands.

Hey nice carp. Any idea how much it weighed? I've cought some nice carp before, but not on a flyrod. I can only amagine what it must be like to fight a carp 4wt rod! I'm getting me a fly rod soon and would love to catch a carp on it. We have some great 40lb+ carp waters 300ft away from my house, but the water is very murky. Any tips? once again great carp! they are truly a hard fighting fish. Matt

I'm getting a swimbait combo next summer and some of mattlures new bluegill swimbaits. I'll be fishing for 6lb+ bass, becuase generaly swimbaits are used to target big fish. (the mattlures ones are anyway) If your fishing for 2lbers i think these swim baits will be a little on the big side. I'm sure you would hook up with smaller bass, but if you are targeting smaller bass then i would use a smaller swimbait. Of course i'm not a expert on the subject becuase i havn't even used or seen these baits.

Hey LBH you could have bagged that buck! If i remember correctly you keep a rod and reel in your UPS truck, so all you have to do is tie on a 4oz weight can give it a good strong cast and hope you hit it. If that doesnt work then sneak up on it and do some flipp'n ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
