  1. 6" YUM Houdini Worm http://www.yumbaits.com/lures.cfm?d=Houdini%20Worm%206%22&m=Yum Works great. Suspends off the bottom and gets sweet action.
  2. Spro frog. Pull it over all the junk, and hang on tight. High pound test line and rod is recomended for hauling out the hawgs. Green and black colors work best.
  3. I fish mine just below the surface, at about 5". Just fast enough so that it gets it's correct action. Pausing with floating lures doesn't seem to work very well.

Thats amazing! did you paint those stars by hand?!
  5. Oh, and muddyman, you are the coolest 55yr old i know, even if you cant stay out of trouble!
  6. If it wasn't for this site, i wouldn't have cought most the fish i did this season. I signed up here on June 27th, almost 130 days ago. And i have to say i learn more here every day than i learn in school. From this site alone, i learned how to use jigs, swimbaits, c-rigs, cast properly, fight fish, work dozens of different types of baits and retrieves, when to use what and where, the best time to fish (anytime) and a million more things. When i first signed up i thought i knew all there was to bass fishing. I was wrong. Every day a learn somthing from here. Why fish see better in the cold, what makes bass slow down in the winter, why this lure should do that, what this rod is best for, the list goes on and on. The astounding selflessness for many members has helped me get through this season. Bolth Muddyman and Flechero sent me rods when mine had broke and i couldn't afford to replace it. To this day these are by far my best rods. Whittler sent me some free baits to try out. Other members offered me superb prices on tackle in the flea market. Several other members offered to give me free tackle. I couldn't thank them enough. I have probaly cought %50 of my bass this season on those rods. Whittlers crankbaits are some of my faverite and are very productive. Other people have given me pricless tips on bass fishing. The other day LBH tought me how to make a crawfish trap out of rocks. He always answers any questions i have about fishing. You staff have no idea how much this site helps me and many others. If you are a guest and you are reading this, why havn't you signed up yet?! This IS the best bass fishing site on the web. Becuase of the people that run and partake in the forums. Not becuase of the nice tan background, but becuase of the people who put that background there. Not becuase of all the information, but becuase of the people who give it too you. Glenn, LBH, RW, and Fivebasslimit, You guys run the greatest site ever made! Thank you BassResource.com!
  7. I plan on fixing myself up a nice road and a additonal mountain bike. Right now i'm road-bike-less. I aslo want to earn some $$$ (maybe get a job) to spend at the begining of next season. Other than that i'd like to prehaps build a small jon/rowboat, but i can only do that if i get wood somehow. Hopfully the bike selling business will be good this winter. If i can repair then sell 5 bikes by spring, then thats $100 towards my baitmonkey. If i do really good, then i can sell 10. It all depends on how many bikes i can get at dumps for free, in order to fix up and sell.
  8. I would use the Daiwa Steez! (if i ever have that much money)
  9. Welcome to the greatest bass fishing site in existance!
  10. man you could make a fortune with that thing! amagine what you could find. I wonder how well it works underwater.... I might just get one of those!
  11. Nice story FR. We have a bunch of blue herons around here, but i've never gotton close to them. They are awful frisky. Infact, Ive gotton much closer to the local bald eagle than i have a GBH. BTW i've heard that if you see a heron feeding, you should aproach that spot and fish near it. They say the birds always know the best spots.
  12. I cant wait intill he gets the aditional color chart up on his site. Every couple nights i check. And his lures do rock. Post pictures of all the bass you'll catch!
  13. Nice fish? what was the weight? And what happend to the tail? awful late for the spawn, no?
  14. Nice bass! what did you catch it on?
  15. My goal in spring was to catch a NJ Skillful Angler Award LM Bass, which is 4lbs. After several hard months fishing, i was rewarded with a 5.2lb 21" bass. Over the summer, i cought 3 bass over 4lbs, and about 4 over 3.5lbs. I have to say i did a good job conpleteing my goal. Next season, My goal is to catch a 6lb LM. With more knowlage, much better equipment, better skill on a larger amount of baits, and fishing 4 days a week, i believe i can achive this.
  16. Oh, and for money saving tips: soak rusty splitrings in a bottle cap full of WD-40 overnight. Next mouring clean with rag, and wa-laa! clean splitring. (you might need to take a wire brush at really bad ones) the same goes for rusty spinner blades. No rust can stand up to WD40 and a wire brush!
  17. I switch rusty hooks as often as i can and sharpen dull ones. Also i swich out bent or rusty splitrings. Thats about it as far as lure modifications go with me. Maybe some day i'll learn to use a airbrush.
  18. LOL i would like to see someone reeling in a fish on that thing.
  19. I leanred just about everything i know. From Bassholebuster and from this site.
  20. check Amazon.com. You should be able to find several games. Often you can get them for under $10 a peice. And i dont really know much about PS2 games.... anything Rapala or Avtivision should be good.
  21. I vote for spring training! The sooner the better!
  22. Awsome fish and video! what did you catch that perch on?
  23. WAIT dont spend another cent. On November 14th Nintendo is Releasing the Wii, they new video game system. This amazing system has a controler like no other. It is shaped like a TV remote, But when you move your controler, you can play the game. In fighting games, you aim your controler to shoot or swing it to punch. In football games, you "throw" the ball, catch the ball, and stiff-arm using controler movment. In fishing games, you use the controler as a rod handle. Giving it the slightest movments you can twich your worm, walk the dog, cast, set the hook, and more. On december 15th Rapala is releasing a fishing game for the Wii. This isn't your old plug-into-tv game. It has amazing graphics. AMAZING. you can fish for over 20 speceis, including Peacock bass, SM and LM. You can customize all your tackle, rods, boats, clothing, everything. And fish from mulitable places from all over the world. this will be by for the most realalistic fishing game ever made. If you want a game as close as realife as you can, this is it. the system cost $250 and the game $50, but it is well worth it.
  24. I've heard bad things about weedless trebles. Other than that, i dont see why it wouldn't work OK. Oh, and just becuase Bill Dance says its amazing dosnt mean it is. He said that about the Rhino. (no offense Mr. Dance, we still love you)
  25. ;D ;D ;D ;D Too funny. And yes, i think he knows what he is talking about. He is just too old too put his words in action
