  1. great merciful schools of halibut! that is the 4th video in 2 weeks! cant wait to see it! Man, how many of those 5lbers are you going to catch?!?!
  2. Yeah, that sounds like bad news. I would notify the fish and game department. how many where there? how big where they?
  3. Good luck. I've alwas wanted to hunt elk. Post some pictures when you return! hope you get a big one.
  4. I'm guessing Texas rigging is the best way to do it... Also C-rigging may be deadly. I supose you could wacky rig it, but the normal senko is probaly better for this.
  5. I'd go with Manning. Yes, Brady has who-knows-how-many superbowls under his belt, but Manning seems to have more experiance.
  6. I've seen this show before and its real neat. Nice job NEBassMan When will the episode air on TV?
  7. I catch loads off of the cheap Strike King $1.79 spinnerbaits. Including my seccond biggest bass, almost 5lbs. Also cought my personal local lake record on one. Black and white are the best colors.
  8. I'll do just about anything to get a nice lure back. Swim, wade, climb, or even trying to snag my snagged lure with another lure, and pull it out with two lines. My friend saw a rapala DT in a tree from his canoe. It was about 1ft out of his reach holding a paddle. So he stood on the seat, and jumped up trying to knock it out with a paddle. Dangerus stuff you know, jumping up and down in a canoe. After several "leaps" he managed to get it out. +1 lure for the baitmonkey!
  9. Sweet fish! thats once nice crappie! Biggest crappie i've ever cought was a 1lb. It put up a pretty lame fight though... How did yours fight?
  10. GO REDSKINS! to bad we are last in the NFC East.... :-[
  11. Nice fish! i want to catch a peacock so badly. And that is one sweet picture. makes me want to catch on all the more.
  12. Awsome fish! Nice late season bass. However, i think 7lbs is a little much. I say 4 to 5.5lbs. But who cares about the weight? you cought it and had fun, and thats all that matters.
  13. yup, metal is the way to go. you can get a Browning reel with a One-peice Alluminum frame for just $70 bucks. Never get a graphite frame, spending the extra money for metal is worth it.
  14. I'm not an expert on the subject of sammies, but i do know that Mono line floats like a cork. (at least Trilene does) If you think that is the problem then maybe you should try something that floats, instead of somthing that sinks slowly. When using senkos with Trilene, i can let the senko sit and watch my line on the surface like a bobber. Of course, Senkos will get a better action with sinking line.
  15. I often have this problem. It is very annoying. But i'm afraid there is no sulution other than to be carful. Slow and Steady wins the race you know.
  16. i personaly never got the point to gift cards... :-/ I mean, what if someone gives you a gift card for BPS, but the rod you want is carried only buy Cabela's? Doesn't it make more sense just to give them the money and let them spend it wherever they want? sorry for going of topic.... i'm just thinking out loud.
  17. Fenwick has a great model for $100. Also a St Croix Premier and Browning Six Rivers retail at $100, bolth good rods.
  18. It is a shame that they ruin great spots like that just to build houses. If you have another good spot that had alot of big bass, then leave it alone. However, if you catch a big bass from a doomed pond, say over 7lbs, i would release it in the other pond.
  19. Welcome! My uncle has a deer ranch near Gavelston. I go hunting there twice a year.
  20. Hey RM, I have a low profile Browning BC reel and a Okuma spinner reel. On the site it says you do not service "BPS brand or signature re-brands". Does this mean you cant service my Browning? And you can service Okumas also, right? Thanks Matt
  21. a Fewnwick Techna AV or HMG. ME WANT!!!!!
  22. It seems to me that these split rings are NOT good for fisherman who fish for large bass. The biggest bass i've cought was 5lbs. But when i get a 9lber on i dont want to have my split rings give out. Also, they say you can use each split ring to save lures multiable times. It seems to me that this is a good reason for the "lure savers" to weaken, thus loosing fish.
  23. your the biggest fan i know for the best sport there is, fishing!
  24. if their junk is blowing on your properity, then that is (atleast around here) against the law.
