As far as I'm concerned this bear wasn't endangering anyone. Maybe if people practiced some bear awareness and conducted themselves accordingly there would be far less bear attacks. Besides, black bear attacks are rare in the first place. I'm sure that was a fine sight for sore eyes. That was a mighty brave thing to do. Maybe one day the bear will be able to return the favor

set out some bait (bird seed) Set up a blind. (a few towels hung from something) Squirrels tend to feed mostly in the mid morning and late afternoon. Stake out with a high powered BB/pellet gun. And remember, squirrel meat is very good tasting. Dont waste it if you do kill one.

I usually ride with one ear open. In bad traffic I listen to it on a very low level of volume. There is no law in NJ about driving a vehicle with headphones that I am aware of. (and I checked the laws about a month ago) I have however been pulled over for riding with no hands on the handlebars, which is illegal in NJ.
