  1. if you are looking for a hollow bodied soft plastic floating frog, SPRO PRO Bronzeye Frogs are by FAR the best on the market. They dont leak like Scum Frogs, cast like a rock, have ultra real action, great durable colors, and dont get ruined after multiable bass. My friend bought one in june and it still is working fine.
  2. I was thinking the same thing with Bete fish. They have very long fins, that can be red, wich would look just like a bloody fish. Only problem is they cost $2 each. :-/
  3. you dont need to flip with spinning, pitching is easier. for BC, flipping is more effecent but takes longer. For short range, pitching does just fine.
  4. does the power light come on? If so it is problay a problem with the wires conecting to the VCR or TV.
  5. Ebay is the cheapest. However, if you are willing to spend $250, get him a Nintendo Wii for christmas. It releases soon and looks by far the best system to come out.
  6. i've never heard of such a thing.... :-/ I supose you could make one, if it was solid plastic....
  7. that was quick... ;D The only one i knew was #9
  8. it depends on the lines thickness. If a spool can hold 60 yards of line that is .06" thick, then it can hold 30 yards of line that is .12" thick. (atleast i think thats right)
  9. True... I repair old BMX bikes and sell them too. I sell most of them to parents with children. Notice: if you want to sell bikes to kids, make sure they have good brakes! that is the first thing parents look for. Tonight Sean_e_bus21 came over and we worked some on his mountain bike. We have some problems with the gearing that we will have to fix tomarrow. There is a Bike Shop opening up in town. I'm inquiring for a job on repairs. That would be awsome if i get it, then i can make $$$ fixing bikes (fun) then spend it on fishing stuff (even more fun) And the tackleshop is the store right next to the bike shop, so i'll go over there and blow my paycheck during lunch break
  10. nice picks! what where their lengths? my PB for pickerel this summer is 21", and my all time PB is 25". I catch a bunch while fishing for bass.
  11. Congrads! Wow, a 7lber! I guess thats your personal best, right? ;D just kidding ya I bet you cant wait to take him fishing.
  12. hmm BpileB, very intresting idea. how about this, on a larger scale:
  13. Well, to start off with, there is a hardly used $40 trek seat, large 26" Alluimum frame, 6peice welded chrome handle bars, rear shocks, brand new $30+ pedals with clips, and $16 of cables. Front shocks are 3 piece fork-to-headset. thats atleast $120 right there. I could get $40 for just the frame.
  14. Hey fishbear, that sounds more like the baitmonkey than bigfoot. ;D They say he follows you where ever you go....
  15. During the spring and summer i fish atleast 4 times a week. Usualy more. My summer trips avrage about 3-8 hours each, my longest this year being 11 hours. During the winter i fish much less. My hobbie for the cold months is building and rideing road and mountain bikes.
  16. how in heck did you do 100 holes in one day?!?!?
  17. around here we usualy get ice before we get snow. most of out storms are in january and febuary.
  18. Yeah, i was there when bassholebuster cought his PB, and i took the pictures and gave him the printouts. here it is, a little over 5lbs on a spring scale: very nice bass, cought on a booyah buzzbait i think... (note: that aint my fish, that is bassholebuster14's)
  19. This mourning i changed the grips and retightend the headset. I adjusted the rear shocks a little looser to give them more give. Sean_e_bus21 came over last night and we started fixing up his Mongoose mountain bike. It has some sweet parts, but needs a little work. Matt
  20. Awsome fish! great way to end the year I havn't cought to many 4lbers, thats a great fish for northern jersey. keep it up, maybe next spring you'll nail a 5 or 6lber!
  21. I've fished 4 people standing up in a 12ft Jon before. We didn't tip at all. And there really isn't any need for a huge bass boat, most of the time. those small ones will a little motor work just fine.
  22. BPS is the only place that ships with the priority shiping, i think. Of course then you will have to pay $7 of shipping for some plastics....
  23. Over the past 4 days i've been working on a new mountain bike. I competely took apart 2 awsome mountain bikes that i got at a dump for free. The one had a nice frame, brakes, seat post, and broken front shocks. The other one had nice shocks, sweet heavy duty handle bars, and other components. Thursday night, i worked on it about 4 hours. On friday, my mom gave me off from school (i'm homeschooled) and said i had to work on the bike instead. I worked on it from 10am to 10pm, with about 4 hours brake. Then on saterday i worked on it a good 4 hours, and this mouning i finnished up and took it for a spin. It was the first bike i've ever built from the ground up by myself. My dad is really into biking, this summer he biked acrossed the USA, so i learnd from him. I had to rewire and recable the gears and brakes, and that was a headache. To do the back gears alone, it took 4 seprate peices of cable. I aslo had to completely take apart both headseats, shocks and bearnings, wich is easier said then done. I finialy got the gears in sink, and the brakes took FOREVER. First time working with V brakes, and it was tricky. I got a sweet $40 seat from my sister. (who biked across the country with my dad) and it is real comfy. Then i took the years of rust of the chrome frame, shocks, and handle bars. The bikes i used had been left out in the weather at the dump for some time, then at my house for about 6 months. Once i had the rust gone, i put on a new chain, cleaned out the deraler, put quickrelease on the seat, changes the front and backs tubes, tires and rimes and hubes, and modified other little things here and there. The shocks where the hardest part. i had to take it apart TWICE becuase i forgot a peice. Alot of work. But swell fun. And here is the outcome! dun dun dun..... http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g9/catfishguy/IMG00002.jpg close look at the front.... (check out those awsome handle bars) http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g9/catfishguy/IMG00003.jpg I still need to work on it some. Needs a better back tire with quickrelease, better grips, and some other things. I took it on some sweet trails today, and it preformed great. Gearning work fine over the hills, and the shocks took the logs and drop-offs great. Brakes worked like glue, i was powersliding around the turns. Got it dirty but thats what i made her for. Total time spent on bike: about 20 hours Total money spent: 0$ Built from scratch, all parts gotten for free from a dump, all cables/conpontents of other junk bikes. I could sell this baby for atleast $150. Thats $7 a hour. But i wouldn't part with it now. The whole time i spent on it i could barley wait to ride it. Had a blast with it on the trails today. I'm taking it out again next weekend. Bikes are fun to ride and fun to fix. Anyother bikers here? I also road bike. My current longest ride is 48 miles. Fixing and riding bikes is my other hobby, besides fishing. It will give my hands somthing to do once the winter freeze sets in. Tight lines and brake cables! Matt
  24. wow fish chris. that is one mega huge bass.
