  1. Yes - depending. I am right up the road from you in Chapel Hill. They still bite in the winter around here - just not as hard or frequent - gotta work for it and be extra patient - that's the depending part - gotta have the patience to fish extra slow. If think you are going too slow, slow it down even more. I like craw bugs drug across the bottom on a 3/8 or 1/2 oz roundball jig head.
  2. Agree with all the above - especially number 3 - that was my thought when I saw this. When we bought this place years ago my neighbor was pulling out SMBs out of the (two acre) pond. There is no creek leading into it. Someone had to stock it at some point. Of course, I have not seen a SMB come out of the pond in almost two years.
  3. The DSG here in Durham is competitive with Wal-Mart. I watch for the sales and usually hit them up then. I agree with another comment that when then go "rock bottom" they really go all out as I have picked up a lot of good stuff. Oh, no. I hear the bait monkey stirring......

As always - very nice! Great paint job - especially dig the colors on the right one, very nice.
  5. Sweet, sweet rides - infuriating - but sweet rides.
  6. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!! Everyone be safe and enjoy this special day with family and friends.
  7. Nope, you are not alone. They are a riot. I'm with SAM, couple of the skits in JA 2 were a little rough, but, those guys are something else! Love Viva La Bam as well. The one where Knoxville shows up in the old caddy and cuts the top off Bam's Hummer is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen on TV. The Gumball rally was great. Thanks for the link, will have to check it out.
  8. Awesome reading this thread. Can't wait to see what others add as the day goes along. I got the best thing of all, like others, being with family. Wife and little girl were all pleased with their gifts. Wife got clothes that she loves to get - running/warmup suits, sweaters, shirts and pants. Little girl loved the "cool" pink Barbie car from the other thread - I have never seen her smile that big. Outside of knowing that I made the two most important people in my life happy, I scored a new floating fly box - full of flies, $50 GC to Cabella's and my favorite of all that have been getting since my daughter was born, a "Daddy and me" book that my wife makes and gets published from pictures of me and my little girl from the last year - it is a treasure and I will read it 100x over the next month. Merry Christmas to all! Eddie
  9. Nice. I love your work.
  10. Very nice - great paint job.
  11. I like the modern sexy European cars - lambo's rule! But, I love the old American muscle cars! The '69 camaro is my fav, followed by the '69 Charger, and '70 barracuda.
  12. One looks bigger than the other.
  13. Just got my three year old daughter's car put together for Christmas. Know it's not as nice as what RedLineRobert posts, but it is totally enviro-friendly-(forget hybrid this one's 100% electric), has run flat tires and goes from 0 to 2 MPH in about a second. Not to mention, it's a convertible! Since end of summer/fall she has consistently asked for a pink Barbie car after seeing one in a catalog she has not mentioned anything else. The other day she told us that After Santa brings my pink Barbie car I will go to pre-school by myself you won't have to drive me anymore Mommy! So, we will probably have some serious discussions after Christmas. Merry Christmas, All!
  14. Very nice.
  15. Very nice. Totally dig all of them - especially the top waters - they look deadly.
  16. Merry Christmas, guys. Appreciate all the hard work you put in to make this such a great site.
  17. Huge VH fan. Have seen and enjoyed all incarnations - although VH III was the best/worst of VH - horrible album with the exception of Without You which IMHO is one of the great VH songs - awesome guitar work. Say what you will about the album though, but, Gary Cherone puts on a heckuva a show. Favorite, musically, was with Sammy. Love Sammy solo and with VH. DLR was happy with VH just being a cover band. They are too good for that. Sammy brought out the best in them. Was going to see them in Charlotte for this tour's kick off but missed them. Catching them in Raleigh on March 7. Last time I saw VH with DLR was the Diver Down tour. Last time I saw them was three years ago when the kicked off the reunion tour in Greensboro with Sammy - one of the best shows ever.
  18. I need to go back to the mall and revise my list to Santa.... I love the vettes.
  19. That's great. Good job, Dad!
  20. Agree. I like Ish. He was on Roland Martin a while back and seems like a real classy guy.
  21. You come out of a meeting and the guys are talking about a cute hottie that was there. You aren't sure what she looked like, but, remember her earrings would have probaly made a nice set of willow blades. True story.
  22. When its 70 degrees, full sun, no humidity, a light breeze, and, I have to go to work. ;D Seriously, cold and windy, with dark stained/muddy water.
  23. Father and Grandfathers. I am still learning though. Try to pickup and share anything I can from everyone I meet.
