What the pros make
Maybe I need to go reread that article but it is my understanding that the money those guys were getting was from sponsorship money only and provided they get in the money for there tournament fishing that could end up makeing them a nice chunk of change beyond what was printed in the magazine.

Booyah Boogie Bait vs Chatterbait
I recently purchased some on the recomendation of some guys on here because I wasnt so sure about the leverage hook that was on them and they came highly recomended. I can say I have never been steered wrong yet by the guys on this forum. I am anxious to try them out myself.

high quality scales
I have used the xtools scale that lowe160 speaks of and it is a very nice scale and culling system. Heres the link for it http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=58275&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults But imo 100.00 is alot for a scale and some plastic floats. I bought one of these last fall and have been super happy with it. http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=89091&hvarDept=100&hvarClassCode=11&hvarSubCode=4&hvarTarget=browse&cmid=PP_P1_2&cmCat=CROSSSELL I have never used the scale that you speak of myself but berkley makes good products so I would think you would be very happy with it.

Crankbait Size
Size has never been a major factor to me I look at how it wobbles as well as depth at which it dives. I do however mostly own big baits I belive in the fact that bigger baits catch bigger fish and as far as color I like to stay natural or dark. I have caught small bass on big lures so I wouldt be to concerned with them 12" to 21" bass your fishing for.

Where to use shaky head
I have one tied on one of my rods year around and have never found a time of year they didnt work. My favorite way to fish them actually is as the weight on a drop shot rig I usually put a shakey head with a trick worm or finesse worm or a beast and than rig a tiki worm or a 3x zero wacky style on the top hook.

Overall Favorite Soft Bait Company
Im a big fan of berkley baits ever since they started producing them although I buy alot of zoom and lately some smaller bait producing companys like reaction innovations and *** company I still think powerbaits have a advantage when it comes to fish holding on to the baits.
-
buckeye spot remover
I usually use finesse worms or trick worms and the last few trips I used them I used a berkley beast and did pretty well with it.

Yum LPT
I have never used any of the yum sprays I have a few of there plastic baits. I use alot of the power baits and the gulp baits and I really like the carolina lunker sauce on my baits as well seems to make a diffrence sometimes and any advantage you can get to catch a fish is good in my book.

B.A.S.S. Youth
My daughter who is 11 joined a few months ago and she loves it as far as club participation she hasnt had any but if your a youth just learning how to fish the master fishing program is a neat deal. She has spent most the cold days of winter when she cant get out learning the knots and how to rig plastics and so on with her little lesson plan that bass sent her.

Jerkbaitin with Floro
I use floro for every thing except heavy cover situations with jigs then I stick with super braids. I read somewhere that alot of pros prefer mono for crankbaiting wood the stretch in the mono helps when banging of brush they say no personal experience here though.

How did it happen?
Dont feel to bad burley I have a friend I used to fish tournaments with he had a large storage unit that was so full of fishing gear that when he needed to find something he had to unpack his storage unit to get at anything. Now he had a real sickness.

How did you catch your HUGE smallmouth?
My largest was 5lbs 7 ozs caught on a 1/8 ounce jighead with a electric blue kalins 3.5 inch curly tail grub. I was fishing spawning beds in the spring along backwater gravel piles off the main river on the Columbia river in Oregon just below the John Day Dam.

Crankbait on a C-rig ? WHAT?
Dont know how this applies maybe it does. Read a article in Bassmaster Magazine a while back dont know what issue but a guy was talking about using a 6oz I belive pyramide sinker with the line threaded through the eye and tied to a crank bait like a slip sinker set up. He would cast the setup onto the edge of spawning beds let the sinker settle and let the crank float up and then he would pull it back down simulating the fish feeding on eggs. The crank he was using was a bluegill imitaiton I belive.

Stacey King & The Bass Pros
The day I dont get excited about catching a fish is the day I stop fishing and thats not gonna happen anytime soon. Stacy King is pretty layed back compared to some of the pros and TV personalities out there.

You guys trim down the weed guard on your jigs?
I trim the brushguards on my jigs just slightly at an angle from the inside to the outside of the brush guard making sure that the outer bristles still give the hook point the weedless protection it needs.

Deep Crankbait Colors?
My all time favorite is what luhr Jensen called a clear water flash which they no longer make I probibly have the last dozen in existance. I am also fond of the Tennessee shad color brown back white or silver belly.

how should you fish a spook?
I let the fish tell me what they want I usually start out with 3 to 4 twitches and a pause and go from there if the fish look at it and swim away sometimes ill just twitch it once and let the rings on the water disapate other times ill jerk it like a mad man when the fish seem aggressive and only pause after 5 or 6 jerks and then only pause for a second and start again.
