come back lure
Im with ABA I will immediately throw right back. I would rather throw back and make sure that the fish didnt just miss it than take the time to pick up another rod and throw something else. If the short strike or miss happens on a few occasions in a row I will than change to something else.

Acadia Sports Fishing Rods
I recently received a letter in the mail from a company called Acadia sports and was curious if anyone has ever heard or used these rods. They have a " Special Pricing" deal going on for 39.95 + 8.95 Shipping you can buy one rod and get another free and the shipping stays the same. Sounded like one of them to good to be true deals but I checked there website as well. Any information would be appreciated.

I find most my lures when the river level is low mid summer is the best the water drops and I walk the banks fishing I happen upon a lure now and then.

Changing Hooks on a Rat-L-trap
I have the same problem short fat fingers and not nails. I have a pair of split ring pliers but they dont handle the small rings so I took a cheap pair of needle nose pliers and and a file and filed me a wedge on them and then took them to a grinder and carefully ground the pliers down till they were small enough to work on the small split rings.

Who has the best Buzz bait???
I have been using calvatron but I have just purchased a few booyahs and am looking forward to trying them. I to was drawn to them because of the clacker on them I think noise is important for buzzbaits.

1st Tourney is under my belt!
The real trick to fishing in adverse weather conditions is to practice doing it. When I was fishing Bass and Walleye tournaments out on the Columbia River In Oregon the chances were good that you would be fishing in high wind ( they check wind speed with a log chain in that part of the country) My partner and I went out on pourpose on bad weather days. On the other hand congradulations on your first tourney fished and keep practicing and good luck.

I am with these other guys the structure may look the same but if you look closely you will find suttle diffrences and that will make a diffrence to the fish even if it isnt so obvious to us humans.

6" Mogambo grub.
I actually use them quite often as trailers on a buzzbait or a spinnerbait I like the action better than traditional split tail trailers and such.

Prefered Jig Size
I mostly use 3/8 size on occasion if im fishing real heavy weed mats and such I will go heavier. When Iam drop shotting or shakey heading I will go smaller 1/8, 1/4 oz.
