Berkley Beast, Zoom vibra craw, or sweet beaver are what I mostly use for jig trailers and on occasion I use a Zoom Chunk.
  2. I like you wondered whether it was worth buying or not so I got some and have used it for a couple months now on a spinning outfit that I drop shot with and have not had a lick of trouble with it. It is the straight vanish not the transition and it has done me well so far.
  3. WELCOME ABOARD!!!! There is a ton of information on this website as well as some great guys to answer your questions.
  4. If there is one thing I have learned about fishing tiki sticks(dont use senkos) is that you cannot fish them to slow. I have found that the slower you fish them the better they work at least when I fish them.
  5. I love fishing fluke use them often as a search bait my favorite colors are in the white and silver flake and I use them pretty much the same as the rest of the others weightless texas rigged and let them drop to diffrent depths in the water column and then jerk and twitch them back. The other way I like to use them is with a vertical drop hook tossing it into holes in the weeds and letting it drop.
  6. I think that bass are more of a pain to clean than they are worth as far as taste dont care for them myself if i am going to eat freshwater fish I prefer crappie or walleye but I suppose we all have our own tastes more power to you try it you may like it nothing wrong with keeping a few bass for dinner.
  7. I fish mine weighted and weightless texas rigged when I use a weight I peg it. I have even swam it that way as well. I mostly pitch and flip them though.
  8. I dont use scents at all at least the spray on kind if the plastics im using have salt or scent that works for me. As far as crankbaits and spinnerbaits I think that fish hit those out of a reaction to the bait rather than the scent.
  9. I use and carry alot of there stuff I have been having good luck on the BEAST lately and have had great success with the power worms and there power grubs not to keen on the gulp series of baits im like rolo cant get past the smell. I have also had great success with there fising line.
  10. IMHO I think color has less to do with catching fish than silhoutte of the bait or presentation for that matter. Thats not to say that color doesnt matter I tend to lean towards natural colors found in the waters I am fishing. In my home waters the crawfish tend to lean more to the reddish side as well as the shad colors ranging from white/silver to a greenish color. I feel like alot of fisherman are more caught by the colors than the fish themselves. Another factor that I feel plays alot into things is confidence in a certain bait or way of fishing I see some people on the forum that all they can talk about when it comes to catching fish is a certain bait and they have confidence in it and thats great you ask most pro's and they will tell you that confidence in a bait as well as where your fishing is very importaint in catching fish for them. Just my 2 cents!
  11. WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!!!!
  12. Congratulations took me alot of years to get into one that big in my defense never fished large mouth until about 10 years ago but even than took me awhile you should be very proud and WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!
  13. I use Tiki sticks all the time I have used senkos and they were not any better than the Tiki sticks so I stay with them because there just plain cheaper. Fact of the matter is I would fish just about any knock off stick before I ever pay that kind of money for a senko.
  14. One think I pay alot of attention to when fishing as a co angler is where the boater isnt fishing. If he is missing spots in cover I make sure to hit those spots with some kind of jig or tube bait I always keep a rod rigged with a tube bait or a jig just for that reason.
  15. I like to flip plastic tube baits as well as lately berkley beasts and have had great success.
  16. Weighted wacky rigs are great use them often but I usually just pinched a splitshot on the hook right below the eye and pinch it flat. That falcon K hook looks like a awesome idea as does the zappu that Brad posted have to try some of them.
  17. I have used them in the past but without much success so I give them to some kids on the dock fishing one day I decided to stick with my regular worms.
  18. I just purchased some storm wild eye shad swim baits and have yet to use them I am not much of a swim bait fisherman and its nice to see that someone has used the storm type swim baits with some success guess I will have to give them a try now.
  19. One of my favorite baits lately I rig mine weightless texas style on a light wire hook nice and deadly fall really slow.
  20. I use them in some of the same ways as already posted but I also use them for swim jigs with a curly tail, twin curly tail the heads seem to wobble as you swim them for a little extra movement.
  21. Go to the section under my fishing trips and there will be a sticky that says member challenge results.
  22. I have used the tiki worm alot one of my favorites is the baby bass swirl seems to do me well never have fished a senko just wont spend the money they want for them.
  23. I personally dont have any experience in fishing them myself saw some at wal-mart the other day so went home and looked at some back issues of BASS magazine. In April of this year they were a featured new product and according to the writer they can be fished on a 3/0 or 4/0 hook weightless like you would a fluke as well as whacky style or rigged texas style with a weight. If you decide to try them let us know if there a waste of money.
