Rod Arsenal. Quantity Vs Quality
I would buy just one nice setup at a time. Fishing has taught me patience and time is on my side. I would rather spend $400 on a setup that fits my needs than two set ups that get me by.

Are There Any Good Affordable Polarized Glasses Out There?
Check out Sierra Trading Post. They have Costas, Oakleys, Maui Jims' and many others for cheap. They also have 40% off coupons floating around usually. I picked up a pair of Seringetti's that were normally $300 for $90. Best pair of sunglasses I have ever owned.

History Channel Show Alone
It looks like a cool show. But every time I see a survival show like this, I am reminded of Cliff Young. They don't hold a candle to this guy. http://www.elitefeet.com/the-legend-of-cliff-young

New Reel For Pitchin And Flippin, Tatula Vs Tournament Pro Vs Chronarch
I like the Chronarch 50e for this application. It's smaller in hand and starts up nicely. Also, it's smooth and has plenty of power.

Most Sensitive Mh Fast Action Rod
A few questions.... What are you currently using? What's your budget? If you are not going to invest in braid or FC, why invest in an expensive rod? What are going to use this set up for?

Spinning Reel Recommendation
Until last week I would have said the Pflueger Supreme but it started to malfunction and I exchanged it for a Shimano Symetre. This reel, SO FAR, has been great. I have it pared with a 7'3" ML Fast Fenwick Elite Tech Walleye rod. It has been a lot of fun. The Supreme got the job done but the Symetre has the proper balance with the rod. Another way to put it, this rod and reel set up communicates well with me.

New Video: Gaining Confidence In Fishing
Good stuff. I would say the same thing goes for me when it comes to confidence. I figured out years ago that if I have a bait that I can't catch anything on and I see other guys killing it, I go to a pond that has stocked fish that are always bitting. I pay attention to when the fish hit and how they hit a bait. If they bite it softly or kill it, gives me a good indication on how I should fish the bait in question moving forward. Senkos for example, I use to fish them in same manner I would a ribbon tail worm or a fluke but I didn't catch much. I studied and learned what I could at a local pond, I changed how i fished them in way that worked best for me, then I started catching fish with them consistently and now Senkos are my go to bait. Keep the videos coming.... Thanks again...

My Walmart's Fishing Section Has Really Gone To $%&#
It's been several years ago but I lived in Paducah, Ky for about 2 years. The Sunday evening entertainment was to go to Wal-Mart with my neighbor and sit in the parking lot and watch the crazy people go in and out. I hate to admit it but it was fun and we were not the only ones there. When we started to add beer and portable grill, we might have gone too far.

My Walmart's Fishing Section Has Really Gone To $%&#
My local Wal-Mart is a joke to say the least. The fishing selection is a waste of time and the prices are better at Dick's, Gander Mountain, you name it. Also, I don't know if they still care these but they use to carry Zoom, Yum and GYCB in smaller quantity packages at the same price or more than it would cost for a full pack any retail bait shop. I will not shop there unless I have to.

Sunflower Seed Insanity ~
I ran some heavy weight chicken wire around my wife's bird feeders and it worked until.... I came home from work and there were two squirrels caught in the wire. I decided they weren't going anywhere so I went inside to take a nap and when I came back out the birds decided to feast on the squirrels. It was pretty gross and freaked out the neighbors. I got out the water hose and scared the birds away. I cleaned up the mess and went to the drawing board. I have yet to come with a better solution. Those furry rats are persistent.

Hats Off To Cashion Recognizing The Kayak Bassers Needs
I have an inflatable pontoon boat and there is not much difference from that and a kayak. With that said, I have yet to have an issue casting when I am out fishing on this thing. This company seems to have nice rods but I have yet to ever see one.

What Do You Do When You Can't Buy A Bite?
Drop back and punt..... Really though, I fish slower. It make take me 5 minutes a cast. I just pretend to be patient.

Ultra Light Setups?
You might take a look at a St. Croix Panfish rod or a trout rod. They have some UL rods that have nice back bone and work great for light weight baits. They usually run about $100. I Pflueger Supreme 25 or Shimano Symetre 500 or 1000 would pair nicely with these rods.

Fish Thieves
I fish two catch and release ponds that are under the DNR's oversight. It makes my day to see the conservation officers handing out tickets to guys with buckets. A few weeks ago, there was a guy with his son fishing from the bank and had a bucket full of fish. Everything he caught was in the bucket. When the conservation officer was done with him, he had just over $1000 in tickets. I look at this way. I spend about $10-$15 minimum every time I fish. If I go to supermarket, $10-$15 will buy me plenty of salmon, walleye, cod, monk, or catfish.
