  1. Nope, it was in stock. Ordered. Didnt hear anything for a while. There was a holiday in Japan so I just figured I would hear eventually. Never did, so I reached out. Said it was shipped, no tracking number. Promised the # would be sent to me, multiple emails and I finally got a number that was DHL. But said it never made it to the states. Then I received a FedEx number. Again dead end as it probably never existed. Emailed all this back to them didnt hear anything back until a email came through with a USPS tracking number. Contacted DHL said they dont have a package. Contacted USPS said they also have no package. I told them I either want my item or my money back this Friday. Of course no reply. on that. Spent hours on the phone with these shipping services to be told Im chasing something that none of them have. First time for everything though. Needless to say I will still with my other JDM companies from here on out.
  2. This has been the worst experience Ive ever had with JDM purchasing. Horrible.
  3. Well they have been the worst experience Ive had in any JDM stuff for sure. Two weeks now, no tracking, no return emails. Going to have my CC company do a charge back if I dont see my package by this Friday. Be fair warned, these guys are definitely not worth the trouble.
  4. I use suffix 832 and a leader in different pound weights on all my bait casters but two which are BFS stuff which get flouro. Strange thing is I just recently started using flouro on bait casters. I prefer braid but the flouro does work pretty good for jerk baits and crank baits.
  5. I really dont have one that doesnt go but I have one that goes selectively if you will. I kayak fish and I can be rough on my gear. If Im going to be fishing in bad weather I tend to leave my Flyssa at home and take a IMX casting rod for small finesse swimbaits. The flyssa is a real sleigh ride but they are brittle. Everything else was purchased to fish, so they will get some time in.
  6. For wacky the relative depth of the water is what I use to determine the leader length. It's not going to be exact but in a perfect world I have the connection knot to my braid sitting on the surface.
  7. That was pretty cool! I was surprised recently when I received a megabass destroyer with a MADE IN CHINA sticker on it..
  8. Ive tried a few out there but always land back on suffix 832 in a few different sizes.
  9. Oh Im there....I cant see BFS being the major factor for me, but I do have two set ups.. Popxstick with alderbaran and 5lb test...Fun for smallies for sure!
  10. A 7ft plus light action spinning is going to whippy by default! But I too love catching them on those sleigh ride light rods... I caught a pike today on a Megabass Flyssa, talk about some parabolic, it was a blast!
  11. Mostly white or pearl for smallies but around the spawn I like to frequent a largemouth only spot and throw baby bass or watermelon green..
  12. Ive been blessed in all my years of bass fishing to finally start using some higher end stuff....But I cant shake my good ole 765's for chatter baits, spinnerbaits, and top water. Man they make a nice rod. Mine are the Champions.
  13. And the slowest shipping to any JDM company.
  14. Megabass Ronin for spinning, One ten special for casting are my favorites.
  15. I wish I could just go to a store. Where I live the nearest real tackle shop is an hour and a half away. As a father of three fishing sons and a wife who is known to throw a bait or two I spend alot of money on tackle in my limited season. Being part of a group of kayak anglers in my area, tournaments in the past as well as just guiding new people or friends a couple times a year I have a serious bait issue. My shop looks like a tackle store. Its hard to find what your looking for and it doesnt help with places like Tacklewarehouse changing up their web layout, and only letting you choose one shipping provider. They used to be really good, now they are the Walmart of fishing. This year I just tried to stock up on everything I think all of us are going to need and move on. My UPS guy thinks Im nuts.
  16. Yup I use the same stuff. With 6 lb leader. Two SLX and a alderbaran
  17. 821,nrr, 822 dsr, 852, and 872 Interesting, I'll look into it! Side note I fished many years in the Central Valley. Don Pedro, Tullock and my favorite New Melones! Gotta be loving that sunshine about now...
  18. nrx+ 852 with 2500 stradic and a weightless wacky senko.
  19. Not that one but Ive got a couple IMX pro's which I really like. Great rods.
  20. Anyone deal with JDM tackle heaven? Ive got a rod on order with them that appears to be taking longer than usual. Hope its nothing serious. Ive had alot of good experiences with Digitaka, Asian portal, Hookup tackle and Japan fishing tackle...
  21. I fish primarily for smallmouth and use small 1/8 head okashira's with spark shads among other small swimbaits frequently. Ive been using two main rods, Megabass Flyssa for spinning and a IMX pro swimbait 862c for casting. I was looking to upgrade my casting swimbait rod to a NRX+ and figured I would ask here. Not for first NRX+ as I own 4 spinning versions, just not a casting rod. So anyone use one for small finesse swimbaits. Ill be moving my Alderbaron BFS reel to new rod. Thanks for any input. Living where I do I do not have the ability to try one out as my local shops dont carry Loomis.
  22. I had the jerk bait special but it didnt speak to me, most likely because prefer the Ronin. That rod is jerk bait fire....Sold off my JB special. It's well made though. Orochi's are really nice rods.
  23. I had a few rods that did the exact same thing. A Kistler, and a Dobyns. It is beyond easy to fix, literally 3 minutes and can be done in the dark almost. Order the ceramic kit off amazon. Comes with the epoxy, plastic tweezers and about 100 different sized ceramic o rings. Under $15. Guides fit perfectly, epoxy has held nicely.
  24. I havent gone to far into the BFS stuff, but I do have one set up. Destroyer popx stick with a Alderbaron. I found that reel can be finicky but will throw a feather if you ask it to without backlashing once its set up. Pricey though.
  25. Im in the dark with diameters but I run a few BFS reels and I use 8lb braid to 6 pound flouro with great success.
