You can't the TW cart will clear after I think 48h. It is amazing how good in general their site is, but how poor their cart/wishlist system is. Like for a company who does "free shipping at $50", it seems a no-brainer to either keep a cart active for logged in customers or at the very least a "make this cart a wishlist" button.

It is heartening to know that it's not just me. I have tomorrow off and I am going to hit my confidence pond until I get some bass or my hand falls off. I am going to start with a chatterbait, then a spinner, then a fluke, and then, I don't know. My crank collection is limited to lipless and 1.5sk squarebills. The pond still has some living SAV and a lot of still standing dead stuff, so cranks seem like a poor choice for how little time they will be productive per cast. I have some jerkbaits but have little confidence in them and have even less patience to fish them slow.

Yea, that workbench looks about average-messy. I figure that if at any given moment around 10% of my bench top is clear, then I am doing alright.

If you want to depress yourself a little, add up the total acreage of the B-more reservoirs and then look at the total for the lakes we do have relatively easy access to. I had never heard of Precision Tackle as again, the traffic has kept me any the yak from ever hitting the Upper Bay, but I need to try some new spots so I am going to try and make a day of it before winter!

I assume we are both talking about Anglers' Express. I feel like the B-more reservoirs being closed to boating does not help them much with foot traffic. I would shop there far more often if I could toss my kayak into Loch Raven while I was up there.

I think for TW the only actual excluded brand is Megabass. I know I have gotten the discount on Daiwa reels before. I use my cc cash-back money for black friday binging. Right now I am sitting ~$300 and am looking at getting a swimbait rod and a pile of senkos for the spring.

So, is this thread dead because; No one is catching any bass and have all moved on to model trains? Everyone is catching so many bass that their thumbs are too ripped-up to type? In my case, I have fished for like 4-8 hours per day for the last three days and have caught nothing. Did some travel for work and missed like the last 3ish weeks of fishing. I was catching them pretty well before that on the usual fall stuff. Now it's nothing. Spent the last few days primarily with a spinnerbait, a 1.5SK squarebill, and a jig/10" Cuprite on a shakeyhead. I tried chatterbaits for a bit and even slow-rolled a 68 Special just to see if I could get a bump. Nothing. Any catching anything around here?

I live an a very inshore-centric area and all the local stores are empty of much bass tackle. There is one great bass-store "nearby", but it's an hour-ish north and going there involves timing things around Baltimore's rush hour, so I only make it up there maybe twice a year. I wish they were closer to me, I would love to be able to just buy a single lure rather than talking myself into spending $50 for "free" shipping every time I want to try something new.

I had the beginnings of a massive pile of tackle going myself, but manage to purge maybe 50% of it this year. I also really cut down on my random buying. That being said, if you find any hairjigs or handpoured worms in your pile, shoot me a PM

I have an Alphas SV and a PX68 and the Pixy will handle a true 1/8oz hardbait a lot better then the Alphas.

Reels I am mostly all Daiwa. I have gotten so used to their braking systems that I have a lot of trouble switching to anything else. Rods I mosty use Loomis and Megabass but if I had to pick one it would be the loomis MBR rods, they work well for about every presentation I have tried on them.

My jerking/popping/walking set up is exactly the same as J Francho’s. I have an Aldebaran 50 on mine and the combo is beyond light. I generaly don’t like XF actions for anthing where I want accurate casting but other then that it’s a great little combo for fishing tubes and small jigs in streams and shallow rivers. I have been tempted to cut the trigger off of my rod however, I think it would make it more comfortable for the full palming grip I like using with it but I have yet to be bold enough to try it

I have never gotten an arbor knot to hold or tighten down with any kind of line. No idea what my deal is but it’s the only knot, rope or fishing, that has ever totaly defeated me. I now just tie a Trilene knot to the spool and use an inch or so of etape to hold it.

The BBZ Rat 50 has been by far my most productive “big bait” and has by far the best hookup:landing ratio. I have never got a hit cranking it down however, most have mine have come either when I’m deadsticking it post splash-down or when I am slowly waking/walking it back. I had good luck with my Gantrel Jr as well. Most of my hits on it came from casting it into a school of sunfish and getting them all riled up. I have caught bass by doing a slow stright retrieve with intermeitant pops and speed-ups, but I think I like the S-Waver better for that.

I will add a grub to my spinnerbaits if I want more casting weight for distance or dealing with wind.

I keep my paddlerails in plano boxes and have never noticed much deformation. I don’t jam them in there but leave a lot of room in each compartment.

Honestly I find that American Legacy Fishing’s site is a far better reasource for G Loomis then their own site.

Some of the kayak guys I fish with use live minnows for pickerel fishing in the winter. They keep the minnows in a perforated container thrown over the side with a few minnows “on deck” in an old peanut butter jar somehwere onboard.

I very much agree with @Deeare, most any store-brand hiking day pack (assuming it is loaded and adjusted correctly) is going to be far more confotable then any “fishing” pack I have gotten my hands on. There are some amazing sling packs made for flyfishing and if one can limit the tackle one carries then they are a great choice. I have a FishPond one and it holds a single 3600 or a pair of 3500’s with enough room left over for a bag or two of plastics and a few comfort/safety essentials. But when I need to carry more then that one of my hiking packs get the nod.

The grass/weeds were crazy at my local ponds this summer. I had good luck rigging 3-4” paddletails weedlessly and fishing them on top of and through the weeds. When they did start to get hung up I would give them a gentle “pop” to try and free them, moving on to less-gentle pops if needed. A lot of the time the first pop would trigger a hit, which is the best way to free up a lure

That basically sums up my dilemma, they’re only half a power apart I feel like I should go with the Addermine as I have plenty of options for the lighter side of things but don’t really have a good spinning rod I can fish wacky senkos with.

How ears you liking it? It's between that rod and the Addermine, I can't decide how powerful I want to go.

Same, I hate shipping rods but I have a few that have to go!

Which XX is that? I am thirsting for a new spinning rod but cannot decide what I want.
