Spro KGB Chad Shad
Who has these and how do you like them? Any color schemes seem to work better than others? I’ll probably pick one up but am wondering if I should get the Ghost Perch since we have a lot of perch/ bluegill in Vermont but both shad patterns look good too as well as the trout (which we also have a lot of).

Shimano Curado 200
Decided to stick with my SLX. Too many negative reviews online for the 200k which kind of surprised me because generally Curado’s have stellar reviews but seems Shimano may have stumbled with this particular model.

Shimano Curado 200
I already have an SLX XT which is very palmable but this guy wants to trade an almost new 200 for it and I’m wondering if I should.

Shimano Curado 200
What’s everyone’s opinions on this reel? I’ve seen mixed reviews. I have a chance to trade my SLX XT straight up for one…wondering if i should do it.

Keitech substitute…
@Jig Man Biospawn Exo Swimmer. Just bought a bunch of these from Karl’s because they were on sale for $2.27 per pack, couldn’t resist at that price and tested one out for the first time last night and was very impressed with how well it swam and more importantly how little effort it took to get the tail to kick even at super slow speeds. They come in really great colors too, I got mostly Pro Blue Red Pearl, Smoke Goby and Smoke Shad. Didn’t catch anything so can’t vouch for durability but according to the reviews they are much more durable than a Keitech.

Jig Setup
Care to elaborate a little?

Jig Setup
Okay, this has probably been rehashed a hundred times over but what do you use when jig fishing, straight braid, braid to fluorocarbon leader or straight fluorocarbon?

Evergreen Shower Blows
@king fisher Awesome topwater bait! Easy to walk and they catch fish. I’ve had most success using the 105 size. I’ve also bought a few of the Berkeley Cane Walker’s which are basically the same style but I haven’t had a chance to try them out yet to compare to the SB. For what it’s worth the SB’s are on sale at Sportsmansoutfitters.com right now for $13 which is about $5 less than normal price.

Abu Garcia Revo X
Ended up going with the Revo X for $54. That's pretty hard to beat for that price considering it was $119 originally.
-
Abu Garcia Revo X
The Lews Speedspool LFS is on sale to for $75 which is about $15-$20 more than the Revo X…worth it?

Abu Garcia Revo X
What is the general consensus on this reel from people who own them? I can get a pretty darned good deal on a Gen 4 (all black) right now but wondered if they are a good reel or junk, I try not to waste money when I can help it :).

Saw this too but if you’re only looking to purchase 1 rod the shipping is $39…so instead of saving $60 you’re saving $20. Still a decent deal but $39 shipping…sheezus ?

Robo Worm Straight Tail vs. Biospawn Plasma Tail
Ended up just getting 4packs of the 6” straight tail Robo Worms. Got Black Grape, MMlll, People’s Pro Staff and Green Pumpkin Pro.
-
Robo Worm Straight Tail vs. Biospawn Plasma Tail
probably longer. I have plenty of shorter 4" or less baits of varying thickness but don't really have anything bigger/longer to target largemouth (or smallmouth too).
-
Robo Worm Straight Tail vs. Biospawn Plasma Tail
Actually looking for a larger drop shot presentation…have plenty of smaller options.
-
Robo Worm Straight Tail vs. Biospawn Plasma Tail
Robo Worm has the “name” and cult following but I’m looking for someone who has fished both of these baits and which one they prefer and why? I can get a wicked deal on the Biospawn right now but if the Robo Worm is far superior maybe it’s worth paying more for. Thanks for any info!!!

Battery?
We’ll, my meager electronics, a Lowrance Hook 4 Hdi and my dash including the bilge/live well are also wired to the starter battery…can/should a starter battery handle this as well as the starting process or would I be better off with a dual purpose battery?
-
Battery?
Concerning regular batteries (non lithium), I see the starter batteries generally have the “MS” designation while the deep cell gave the “DC” designation and then you have dual purpose. Which would you use as starter and which for trolling motor only? Just want to make sure when replacing my bad batteries I replace with the correct battery.

Trolling Battery
I have something like this installed... https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-xps-proseries-marine-battery-charger mine is from Cabelas back before they were bought out by BPS. I'm not 100% certain it's amperage without checking it out on the boat though. I'll check tonight.

Trolling Battery
All I have is a trickle charger at home and I know AutoZone tests batteries and charges them for free so that's why i brought them. The first battery, my starter battery they put on charge and it started leaking hydrogen they said and it's definitely bad and he said he wouldn't put it in his boat. The second battery is my trolling motor battery and they set it to the correct amount of marine cranking amps and it failed.
