BPS or Academy House Brands
Academy has a reputation for quality "house brand" baits, BPS is hit or miss for me personally.

The latest sale thread
@EvanT123 The sale is over, I checked. We can't name them on here because they are not a sponsor of this site nor does this web retailer wish to be associated with any online fishing site at this time. Try searching for $5.99 Lucky Craft baits...with a little Google knowledge you'll find them.

Toronto Tackle Shops?
Well, stuff like JDM lures (Evergreen, Megabass, Duo Realis, Lucky Craft, Jackall etc.) but not super expensive rods/reels or terminal tackle.

DIY Weedless Wacky Hooks
This looks doable. Would Big Game Mono work too?

DIY Weedless Wacky Hooks
Could something like this work... ...if you glued one end around the eye of the hook and stretched the other end under the barb?

DIY Weedless Wacky Hooks
I have a TON of Gamakatsu Octopus Circle hooks that I got at Wal-Mart on clearance for $1 each pack. Is there any DIY way to make these hooks weeless and use them wacky style for senkos?

Toronto Tackle Shops?
I will be visiting my wife's relatives in Toronto, Canada next week and just wondered if there are any good tackle shops in the Toronto area? I might as well have fun if she's going to .

Lake Bomoseen VT
So I've read where there's a ton of bass in Bomoseen and just wondered if there's any good fishing from shore? I'm mostly interested in Large Mouth Bass. It's a ways for me to trailer my boat...especially when only the trolling motor is working right now (outboard is leaking oil from somewhere). If there are some places to shore/bank fish where I could catch some decent sized fish (not just a dink factory) I'd like to make the trip down (maybe spend the day at the State Park).

Lake Dunmore VT
I'm going camping this weekend at Kampersville campground at Lake Dunmore in Salisbury/Middlebury this weekend and i was wondering if there is any good fishing from the shore that I could do or is it a strictly boat lake in order to catch good fish?

Trailers
I have both but I haven't fished my swim jigs much this year. I have the Rage Menace twin tail grub the Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper both in a variety of colors.

Favorite Whopper Plopper Color
My wife has been having great luck this year with Blue Blood in the 90 size. Last year I slaying them with Perch in the 90 size (and probably would have this year if my wife didn't lose it tree fishing...lol). I have the 130's in Bone and Loon but have yet to catch anything with either.

What's your preferred method of fishing?
Topwater is far and away my favorite way to fish! I will stick with topwater as long as I possibly can, exhausting all of my topwater options sometimes to my own detriment when I really should reassess my plan of attack and start moving down the water column.

What is the best and most value priced Hollow Body Frog that you do not have to squeeze the water out of?
I like my Live Target hollow body frogs but they aren't a value frog in terms of cost. I personally would go with the Snag Proof Ish Monroe Phat frog.

Best Skipping Bait
So the more i watch it on YouTube and the more i think about where i fish I'm thinking learning to skip a bait is going to be a must for me. That being said, what bait(s) do you prefer for the skipping technique? Most videos say you want something flat which makes sense because when you skip a rock you want the flattest rock you can find so that relates to this technique but you also see people skipping senkos which are round so it must not always matter if the bait is flat...what are the exceptions?

Help Plan My Attack!!!
Well, I didn't have much luck. All I caught was a chain pickerel. I did have a strike from a bass but I was so excited when she hit that my thumb accidentally hit the clutch bar when i tried to set the hook . The one positive from my trip, this was the first trip where I really used my casting rods and reels for the first time. I was actually impressed by how well I did. Did I have some birds nests...yup, but nothing too bad that I couldn't get out with a little patience and honestly out of the dozens of casts I made that morning I only had 3 or 4 so that really isn't too bad. I may not have caught many fish but I did have some fun experimenting and learning with my casting reels so I consider this a successful trip .

Maximizing Budget Baits
Oh man, you let your wife catch you sorting through all your fishing stuff . If mine ever did she would flip out and administer a severe lecture . Luckily we go to visit my Dad in Pennsylvania and my step-mom will most always treat me to a Cabelas trip and my wife while grumbling doesn't know exactly what I put in that big green bag so any additional baits i happen to procure after that i have shipped to my work and from there I bring them home and stuff them in the Cabelas bag so if she does find it she just assumes it's something my step-mom bought for me .

Help Plan My Attack!!!
The bottom is what I would call muddy. There are some weeds that are tall and stringy that go from the bottom to within 6" of the top of the water (not all over but enough). I also only have about a 2 hour window to fish as we have other plans for the remainder of the day.

Help Plan My Attack!!!
Okay, I'm planning on getting up early (well, early for me...lol) tomorrow morning and being at my favorite pond around 6:20am-ish...just around when the sun is coming up. Unfortunately my boat isn't running right now as it has an oil leak somewhere and I haven't had the time or extra money to take it to be looked at yet so I will be bank fishing. This pond is pretty clear water, shallow as it is about 2ft. deep near the bank and stays that way going out maybe 10 - 12ft. or so before it starts getting deeper to about 4 or 5 ft. and then another 10 - 15ft. or so before it goes to around 8ft. and so on. On the left of the fishing spot is a big patch of lily pads. It's definitely mid-summer in my area. What lures/coloration/techniques would you use for morning fishing this pond? I was thinking topwater like a Super Spook Jr. in Bone, maybe a Whopper Plopper 130 in Bone or even a R2S Bubble Walker in Powder. I do have a little bit of everything though so would jigs or spinnerbaits or buzzbaits...maybe a big worm be a good choice? Like I said, help plan my attack for me .

The latest sale thread
I just checked and they are out of Bluegill, Bone and Camo and only have 5 left of the Black/Blue and the Pearl White (but more in the other colors)...wow, that didn't take long...within 2 hours they're sold out of 3 colors and almost out of 2 more. I hope these things live up to the hype...lol.

Booyah Prank
That's why I was more searching for people who actually own one or have at least fished one to give me some feedback instead of people who just think they look silly. I get it, it doesn't look pretty and i'll agree but just trying to figure out if it's effective or not before making a blind purchase.

Booyah Prank
Would like to know from those who have fished this bait personally if it works well or is just a gimmic? It seems like a good idea, popper and crank in one.
