  1. yes. plastic isn't exactly built to last. pounding nails with a plastic hammer may make you hand less sore, but we'll see how quickly you can build that treehouse.
  2. concerning trout magnets; jut gotta know when to you 'em! I seldom use them in ponds, but are my number one lure in small rivers and streams. Try "deadly drifting" it with a float or even a regular bobber. Also use the right colors, white and mealworm gold especially.
  3. usually the blank will extend all the way to the end of a rod, at least with higher priced/quality ones. I imagine some cheap rods may not extend but the good ones should.
  4. st.Croix's about $200 and above range rods are made in America. The rest are made in Mexico.
  5. trout magnet jig! Trout love 'em! Panther Martins and Little Cleo spoons do the trick for me, too.
  6. id say 8 but wouldn't go higher than ten.
  7. try punching through the pads with some thick braid and whatever plastic you want on a heavy worm weight. Topwater isn't the only option!
  8. BRAID! Go with 30-40 pound power pro!
  9. or the "barbed talon"
  10. Hello Glenn and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Drew
  11. I bought some quarter oz. shakey heads last week and I haven't fished them yet. What depth/structure would be best for fishing them and what style plastic would be the best to slap on there? A craw/creature? Thanks.
  12. no wire necessary, thick fluoro leader should do it.
  13. The point-blank shank jig.
  14. Man I gotta get into swimbaits! What depth were you fishing that line-thru in?
  15. Frog fishing is AWESOME! I caught a 3 on one today and missed about 15 fish on one a couple days ago. Nothing beats topwater!
  16. I'll leave the line type up to you, but 8-10 pound should be fine.
  17. My little crawdad has a minn kota tiller on it. When we reverse it vibrates a lot. I've experienced this on boats with outboards and trolling motors. It's just the way the propeller interacts with the water. There's no damage to your motor as far as I know.
  18. I have plenty of time to fish, and I worked 30 hours last week. I'm working seventeen hours this week and I'm going on a 4-day trip to New Hampshire for smallmouth and trout! Is four days no time? Lol
