  1. A good spot to fish a hollow body frog is a area filled with lily pads.
  2. A live ladyfish is a good bait to use for a big snook or tarpon, but you will need to use heavier mono and bigger hooks.Fresh ladyfish cutbait is a good bait to use for many of the species you mentioned.
  3. What species of fish are you targeting?Live bait is very effective as well as fresh cut bait.
  4. Nice Avatar.Like others have said ,the person frowning upon your catches is most likely jealous of your success. That 10 pound bass that you caught +40 years ago is bigger than most people's pb down here,so whatever you are doing you are doing well.
  5. Any fish that gives a good fight for its size.
  6. Congratulations on catching your first bullseye snakehead! Those fish are very fun to catch.
  7. Nice video,I have been doing this for years and have found quite a collection of rods, reels, artificial lures, and other stuff.
  8. Been using this lure for a couple months now and came to the conclusion that the frog is the better lure.Have caught some decent bass on it so it definitely has its place and time that it can be used(when you forget to bring a frog, you want to try something different, etc).

Make sure to test drive the car for a decent distance before you buy it,as well as thoroughly inspecting it. If the seller won't let you do this walk away and find someone who will.
  10. I agree with Gundog that you must be polite when fishing a body of water that isn't public. As the saying goes "you attract more bees with honey" than you know what.Be kind to property owners and you will most likely have access to private waters that many can only dream about .
  11. That bass really wanted that Crawler!Does the line get wrapped up in the blades?
  12. Bet you had a big smile when you reeled in 2 fish at once on your topwater!Yes ,I have caught 2 bass at once many times, especially on topwaters and jerkbaits.I can recall at least a couple instances I have caught 3 bass on a single jerkbait at the same time. The bass where small (under 18" each),but it was awesome seeing those 3 greedy little bass latched on my jerkbait.
  13. Dave it is obvious that you enjoy bass fishing and you are very good at it.I feel the same way about bass, that's why I keep fishing for them, even though we got so much variety to choose from in our state.Snook season just opened a couple days ago in my area,so I will start targeting the linesiders more often now until the season ends.
  14. I agree with Dave that a 35" or better snook is a much better fighter than any largemouth bass in existence. They get even funner to catch when they become +40",a equal sized muskie cannot hold a candle to a snook of this size(not many freshwater fish can compare with a big snook).I still fish for bass though since I enjoy how convenient it is to fish for bass(hundreds of lakes, ponds, and canals down here) and how much of a challenge it is to consistently catch big bass from land.
  15. Always a good idea to carry a scale with you every time you go bass fishing, since it's better to know the real weight of your next PB than guess it.
  16. If you dive down quietly you can get less than 5 feet away from a bass. They are very curious by nature and might even follow you around for short distances if you remain calm while your diving. Its a completely different world down there, words cannot describe how awesome it is to see a big bass eye to eye in its natural habitat. And yes you can find out the structure where bass are hiding, but be careful with fishing lines, structure that might hit your head, and other dangers.
  17. Congratulations on your new PB!I see you caught her on the frog, which makes the catch even more sweet.
  18. Throughout the years I have found plenty of fishing lures that taught me what fishing lures people use in the locations I fish(soft plastics and hard plastic lures). Some of these fishing lures weren't that great, some where, but most where decent at catching bass. Its definitely worth picking up a lost fishing lure, since it can be your ticket to catching more and bigger bass in the locations you are fishing in.
  19. I went to Turkey Lake earlier this year and did pretty good fishing from the shore.Would definitely recommend this lake to anyone who wants to fish a public lake in Orlando with lots of quality bass in it.Might go fishing to the canal soon and if I do I will post the report to let you know how the current conditions are.
  20. I highly recommend you give diving a try.Its a whole different world down there and much more beautiful in person.
  21. Hearing owls is one of my favorite aspects of night fishing, must of been nice to hear so many owls making sounds at once.
  22. My favorite hollow body frog is the Live Target hollow body frog(have caught several +8 pounders on this lure) and favorite soft plastic frog is the Zoom Horny Toad.
  23. I am sure that there will be a horde of bass fishermen who will buy this product if their favorite "pro" tells them it's what helped them win a tournament.
  24. Congratulations on your new pb!
  25. Out of the 3 choices you presented I would recommend the Live Target Frog the most.
