Fenwick Silverhawk, great price, great guides, great reel seat, plenty of size/action options.

Back at it.
What did you do to preface your thread with that?

Do you guys seal the cork on new rods?
I use U-40 on all of my cork and in my opinion it in no way effects feel, color or performance.

Spro Mcstick 110 Or 115?
I like the 110, but I like the McRip better!

Shadow Rap..any problems?
I've got three and they're all holding up well. I love jerkbaits but my home lake is pretty murky. I went with the carbon color and it's been effective. Moss back shiner is great on the river.

Favorite economical bait from last year
Creme Scoundrels in the "Live" color. You can find them almost everywhere for a buck or two.

went to dicks.. on their website it said they had them in stock but there was nothing there. I'm starting to consider these frost colors.

Fishing jigs in rivers
When I fish the delaware I usually stick with jerkbaits, both suspending and floating. I don't know what it is but it really triggers angry strikes. I don't often use jigs on the river unless I am swimming them, but the smallie bite is always on.

Is there a senko stickbait alternative, weight wise ?
I really like Creme Scoundrels.. they're not the heaviest but I don't have any problems casting them on a lews tp and M/F.

I want to get started fishing jerkbaits
I really enjoy jerkbait fishing and I certainly have far too many. Pointers 78 & 100 are great, McSticks are nice but don't sleep on the McRip when aiming for deeper waters. Duo and Jackall have a nice jerkbaits too. One company that goes under the radar but does a good job is Baker with their JLD1's and 2's. On the river shad colors do well but on lakes near me dark colors really excel in the murky water. Every jerkbait is going to need a bit of a tune, it's part of the fun. You'll sort out which make works for you pretty quickly. There's a lot of great choices out there.

Is the consolidation of brands going to limit Crankbait innovation?
Going off of Lucky Craft and Megabass.. it seems whatever they create is reflective of their cost of R&D. Then the "lesser" brands just mimic all their hard work.

Is the consolidation of brands going to limit Crankbait innovation?
I don't think anything is going to stop innovation. Crankbaits will forever evolve. That said, I have a few DD22's and Little N's that I rarely use, and I don't have any Bandit lures. It doesn't really bother me that they are now under an umbrella of a larger corp. Spro and Jackall have been big for me lately when I can find them for cheap.
