Battery time again, my Everstart battery didn’t want to start or hold a charge either. So someone told me to get a Optima blue top battery, that they are the best. The price is going to hurt more then anything. Anyone have thoughts about them??? Thanks for the inputs.

I’m looking for a new 3 bank on board battery charger. Right now I have a 2 bank and a 1 bank charger. ( I know you are asking why I have 2 different chargers? Long story) Anyway, I’m looking to replace the 2 for 1. I was wondering what you think is a good one to get? Thanks for your input and advice.

I thought about putting a smaller engine but I wouldn’t mine a newer boat

What a way to start the New Years. My wife just told me today that we should think about getting a smaller boat with a 115hp on it, that way we didn’t have to drive an 1 1/2 hrs to get to Hartwell. We live by a lake that is 20 minutes away and only allows a 115hp, I have a 150hp. Man, what to do right??? So now the question is do I stay with a Triton which I love or go with a different boat???

How is the best way to store fishing gear such as bibs and a jacket on yout boat? Do you just put in the storage locker by themselves or would you put them in a bag on the boat? Thanks for all input.

I never really liked Dicks, didn’t have a whole lots of fishing stuff anyway. Academy sports has some stuff but every sense bass pro shop and Cabela’s merged the Cabela’s fishing stuff doubled in size. So I just prefer to go there.

Being from Florida I did not have to worry about thermals while fishing but now that I live in upstate South Carolina it gets rather cold. I understand now the importance of layering. My question is this, what kind of rated thermals should I be using? Right now I have grade 1. I mainly fish Lake Hartwell. All responses appreciated. Happy fishing

Ok, I was able to download the new software for my Helix 7 DI GPS. The problem is I could be in 20 to 30 feet of water and it will show that I am in 1ft of water. Or I could be running in the middle of the lake and be in 68ft deep water and it will show the correct depth but then it will jump to 2ft when I’m still in 68ft. The graphics are good and I don’t have a problem with anything else. I hope that I explain this good enough, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Got a surprise today, Wife bought me Bass Pro Shops HPR Bone Dry bib today for our anniversary. Jacket comes later for my birthday. What a surprise that was. Merry Christmas everyone

And the hits just keep coming, My trailer jack does not want to go up or down. When I was trying to raise the boat to get the trailer off the hitch and the hitch was stuck it just wouldn’t crank, So I thought about buying a new one and replacing the old one but my problem is this, the trailer jack is welded to the trailer. Any suggestions on either fixing the jack or removing the jack??? Thank you my fishing friends for any input....

It really is a simple question. My trailer will not come off the hitch. Any ideas on how to get it off???

I’m having trouble with my Helix 7 fishfinder staying on which I mentioned in a previous post. I need a new wiring plug-in so I was just wondering is it better to wire into the fuse panel or go directly to the cranking battery???

@LonnieP, I believe you are right about getting a new wire. I did some more checking with the connection and it seems to be getting loose. So I’m going to get a new one.
