  1. I have a 2003 Triton TR185 with a 150 Mercury that I have had for about a 1 1/2 yrs that at some point needs new carpet. I have put in new seats, a new trolling motor and a new fish finder. But for some reason I want a newer or new Triton or another bass boat. My wife has even said it is ok (after we buy a house) of course to get one. I do want to put new carpet, is this a waist of time knowing that in about a yr there is a very good chance I get a different boat??? Thanks for the input
  2. I just moved to NC from FL, and would like to know of some good bass lakes in the Henderson area??? and do I need to winterize my boat? Thanks for the for the advice...
  3. For those who fish Lake Okeechobee, I plan to drive 4 1/2 hours to fish Lake Okeechobee's Monkey box tomorrow the 6th and early the 7th. How's the fishing down there lately???
  4. I am looking for a grease to grease my hubs on my trailer before I make a 7 to 8 hour trip. And can I use that grease for my boat? What grease would you recommend??? This is the first time I grease the trailer sense I got it back in April.
  5. @Fishing Rhino I like your idea and have decided to leave the seat out and make that a step. Thanks for the input
  6. Ok I own a 2003 Triton TR185 with a 150 Mercury, when I bought it the seats were in need of replacing. I order new seats not thinking of just reupholster the old ones. My problem is the center seat, after removing the back of the seat the sign says not to drill holes because of the gas tank. I would like to put in the center seat but not sure how much room I would have to drill holes for the screws. Any thoughts on this...I wished I had just reupholster the old seats
  7. Thank you for all the input, I do have a 2003 Triton TR185 with a 150 Mercury and have decided to make my own. I did do a little research and believe I can do it....lol
  8. Looking at replacing my bunk boards and they are 10ft long. I could buy them all ready made or make them myself. Any thoughts??? I have seen them on BP and other online site but not in the 10ft range. Thanks for any inputs....
  9. I lived in Naples 47 years and love to fish on golf course lakes and have caught some big one's over 5 lbs and my biggest one was 7.5 lbs, my only advice is fish late afternoon (after 5). Just pic a golf course and start fishing and just wait tell someone kicks you off which didn't happen to many time for me anyway. Good luck and hope this was helpful
  10. Ok, I am moving to NC around the Hendersonville area, Any good fishing in that area??? Plus how is the fishing in the winter months???
  11. Motor won't start up Plus....When I start up the motor it will crank up for maybe about 10 seconds at the most but that is it. Plus the motor doesn't want to peeeeee. A friend thinks it might be the water pump. Now I did look on youtub about maybe doing this myself and just going a replacing the small fuel lines. Or should I just take it to a shop and have them look at it and pay the price. By the way....about the price what would I be looking to to pay to have this done??? Any thoughts???
  12. I hit a log or something in the water with my trolling motor and now my boat doesn't go where the arrow on the top of the trolling motor says it should go. My question is this, How can I reline my trolling motor so that the arrow and the motor go where I am steering my boat to go?
  13. I just bought a boat and go one for 8 yrs, Plan to pay it off way sooner then that tho
  14. This is my trailer step for the back.
  15. I have bought BPS trailer guides and now have a little problem. My trailer is a Triton trailer, which is great but. The back step goes from the wheel well back to the back of the trailer which makes putting the guides on the back of the trailer not going to happen. The only place to put them is half way up the trailer which to me makes them useless. Has anyone seen guides half way up the trailer?
  16. That is what I am going do. But would like to get the back part off the boat which as two screws holding it to the boat. But for some reason I can not get it off.
  17. I thought that I should try to replace my own seats which didn't go like I thought it would, (thought I could be a handy man again.) Trying to take off the back of the center seat which is not going good. Anyone know how to do this, my boat is a 2003 Triton TR185. Going to try to use self tapping screws for the other seats. Thanks for the input
