  1. I did that this afternoon, I’ll say that it is wired to the fuse panel, I’m not the best at wiring but did check the fuse which was good and also tried to Reattach the wiring.
  2. I have a Humminbird Helix 7 DI GPS. The last time I went out fishing, going from one spot to the other, it just turned off. I stopped the boat and was able to get it back on again. But it happen again. Today I thought I’d try to do some troubleshooting. I got it back on and move the wire and it turned off. I now can’t get it back on. My question is this, Could some of the wiring just gotten loose? Or is it time to get another one thanks for your input as always. By the way the Helix 7 is about 4 yrs old
  3. I liked the answer “be new” from RHuff. I’m going to wait a little longer but will still kick the tires. We’ll see what the future holds...
  4. Thanks punch, being from Florida, I like to fish year round. I hope I can still do it in SC
  5. I have had my boat for almost 4 years now. Question is this, Is it too soon to be looking for a new bass boat??? The wife thinks it is.....
  6. Here is another question. How important is Gore-tex??? Is it that important if you are not fishing every day??? If I can fish 4 times a month that’s a good month. But I rather fish a lot more.
  7. @Glenn, thanks for the video on rain gear, like all your videos very informative
  8. Ok, not sure If this is the right form for this question. Never had the need for rain gear, but since moving from Florida to South Carolina I feel the need to get a pair. From what I’ve read for layering purposes rain gear is a good idea to help keep you dry and warm. My question is this is Carhartt rain gear good??? Again I am all new to this stuff would like to do a little fall and winter fishing this year, thanks for your input.
  9. I will be purchasing a Dobyns Rod, either a Fury FR705CB or a FR733C it will be used mainly for crank baits. But will be looking to use it for other applications. Anyway, anyone have any options???
  10. Ok, After owning my used boat for a few years, I wax my boat for the first time, under the boat too (Wax on wax off) sorry I couldn’t resist. But I didn’t use a buffer. I now want to purchase one. Any Suggestions on which one I should get???
  11. Update:::I tried to fix it myself and over heated the rod and well...It wasn’t so good. After talking with Dobyns customer service. I sent the rod back to Dobyns Rods. It was my fault, but Dobyns company is working with me on a new rod. I can not say enough about their customer service and how they are working with me. In my humble opinion, Dobyns Rods is a top notch company....just saying
  12. I like Lews just a little more...just saying
  13. I just ended up getting Trailer King. “I’m just a poor boy in the unemployment line” thanks for the input
  14. I need a Trailer tire and not sure which one to get. Any thoughts on which one to get??? Thanks for the input
  15. Thanks Tom, I did see a Marine-Tex repair kit on line that should do the job of filling the holes. Hopefully I’ll get it all done soon. Need to fine a new rim and tire next.
  16. @WRB yes they did. 2 of the 3 did. Not much room to work.
  17. Besides my tire getting Shredded and waiting 2 hours to get it fixed because I forgot my key to my tool bend to get my tools. I have a 2003 Triton TR-185 bass boat, my gear shifter became loose, (which is on the right side)the screws came out of the fiberglass, so I need to repair that. Does anybody have any ideas, thank you I hope I explain this well enough.
  18. I’m on the highway going fishing, just one question. What’s a good tire for the trailer??? I shredded my tire, now waiting for roadside help because I forgot my keys to the tool bend. It’s a Great day
  19. Is rain gear for the spring and summer the same as what one would wear during the winter???
  20. Update #2: I have been talking to their CS department and was told about their $25 shipping and so I’m going to ship them the rod and see what happens.
  21. Update: Dobyns, after looking at the pics I sent them, they wanted me to send them the rod. Which is a great idea and if it is a defect, they would give me a new rod. Well after looking at the cost of shipping them the rod (over $50.00) with ups. I think I’ll take the 50.00 and use it toward another rod. Maybe another Falcon rod who knows.
  22. Did you have to use brown paper to wrap the pvc to ship it??? Just went to ups and the wanted $50.00 to make a box and ship. Not sure it’s worth all the trouble to ship a rod back to the company.
  23. How did you cap off the ends so the rod wouldn’t come out???
  24. I know this has been asked 1 million times but my Costa sun glasses broke. I’m now looking for a new pair and for the best color lens to wear for all round fishing. I’m looking at the amber color or gray color lens what do y’all think? My Costa’s had blue lens by the way.
