I’m getting a new reel for Christmas this year, a Abu Garcia Orra S Spinning Reel. I just not sure which one to get the orra30 or orra40??? I just fish for bass and want to make sur which one would be better for bass fishing. Thanks for your input Merry Christmas

Ok this is the situation, I haven’t used my boat since around May, today I started to charge my batteries but was wondering do I need to add water to the batteries??? I haven’t even thought about this until now. Oh and it’s suppose to snow this weekend, going to add some sea-foam to the gas tank. Is this a good idea being that I want to fish this winter???

Just a update....I put in a new fuse and what do you think happened????? Yep it works just fine now. Thanks for all the replies

Just an update...all is ok with the chargers....?

I think they were really submerged. I went to charge my batteries and all I saw was water. I immediately pulled the plug and turned the pump on. Hopefully everything will be ok.

I forgot to pull the drain plug and it rained. The back Compartment was full of water where the batteries are at. I have two battery chargers in that compartment, what are the odds that no damage was done? I believe I should be fine but was just wondering what you all think. All replies are welcomed.

Ok so I am at the ramp talking to someone about boats and how the fishing was and he made a statement about not putting fuel treatment in the gas because it will ruin the engine??? Has anyone heard about this??? I thought that you wanted to treat your fuel to help save your outboard. Anyway thanks for your input.

I guess I’m still trying to learn how to fish off a boat. Definitely not used to fishing in NC being from FL. Two things is for sure is this, 1) fishing off a boat is way different then fishing on the banks of golf course lakes and 2) being from FL and learning to fish the deeper water lakes of NC is a new challenge all in itself. So my question is this...when one is fishing let’s say worms and they aren’t working when is it time to change patterns or say lures???

I’m am talking about the toads, just want to make sure I’m using the right hooks

I haven’t used frogs a whole lot and really just started getting more serious about using them and now have a rod rig just for frog fishing. My question is this...when using a soft plastic frog is it better to use a double hook or a single hook setup??? I hope this question makes sense and thanks for your reply’s and have a blessed day

Ok so I cleaned my Shimano Citica, Now it doesn’t want to engage and clicks when I pull on the drag...this might not be so good. Any ideas what could be wrong??? Thanks for your inputs.

Update...My frog setup...7’2” Terex Casting heavy-Dean Rojas rod with a Abu Garcia Revo4 reel with 40lbs Power Pro braided line

I have been reading on an older post about using braided line for frog fishing. My question is this, Is fluorocarbon ok to use for frog fishing? Thanks for all the input

Been looking at replacing my old Shimano Curado CU-200 for awhile now, it’s about 25 yrs old. I do have 2 newer Shimano’s but change to Lews and like them better then the Shimano’s. My problem is that I went to the expo at the Bassmaster Classic (which was great) this past weekend. I was going past the Abu Garcia booth and was thinking about trying one of them after talking to one of the Pro’s. Would like some inputs from you guys that own both reels. I spend about $100.00 -$120.00 for my reels. Thanks for the inputs...happy fishing
