I have never gone to the Classic before and am looking forward too it. For those who have gone before, what can I expect??? I plan on going to the expo and then the way in, and can go for one day because of work. Thanks for your input....?

I’m needing to replace a guide and have everything I need but the epoxy. My question is this, Does it matter what epoxy I use? I have seen a few YouTube videos, some say 5 minute epoxy is just fine and others say go with this and go with that. Again, does it matter which epoxy I use? Thanks for all inputs

Update: After a few minutes of a intense investigation of my livewell it came down to this....it won’t turn on. I know right, go figure. I turn it on and nothing, I now know that I have 2 pumps for the livewell one for pumping in water and one for pumping out water. Thanks for all the replies up to now. Could it be a fuse? All input is welcome....?

Thanks fishnkamp for your reply, I have a 2003 Triton TR185, I just had it recarpeted and lights put in my compartments for when I go night fishing. No I don’t need to physically plug the livewell.

Ok finally got out on the water and did some fishing. I wanted to check how things were and when I got to the livewell it would not fill up but did let out the water that was in there. Any ideas what might be happening with the livewell???

Ok a few months ago I bought PLine thinking it was Fluorocarbon. (I haven’t used it yet being I just got my boat back) Anyway I just got some Berkley Vanish, knowing that it is Fluorocarbon. My questions are these 1) do I have to backfill my reels with mono?, 2) what test line should I use? The Pline is 12lbs and Vanish is 14lbs. I still plan on using braid line but was just going to try Fluorocarbon, anyway thanks for your thoughts

Oh I learned a lesson alright but I’m sure I’ll learn more but I’ll be back on the water and fishing on Wednesday if it’s not raining still ?

So I finally took my boat to the shop and apparently I burned out my water pump. The good news is I got my boat back just in time for a weekend of rain, but Wednesday and Thursday (my days off this week) are shaping up to be good for fishing ?

My question is this: Does Penn Rod and Reel cleaner leave any kind of residue on the reel or line that the bass can since and not strike??? I am just using it to clean the outside of my reels after I clean them. Thanks for your opinions

Update#2...I did check the thermostats and they did open. I believe that I’m just going to listen to my wife and you guys and take it to the pro’s and let them fix whatever is wrong with it, again thanks for the advice

I want to thank all of you for your advice, I think what I’m going to do if not raining tomorrow is check the thermostat and take the lower unit off to check the impeller. The closest lake is over an hour away so I’ll try the trash can and make sure I did it right before taking to a professional to fix my mess...again thanks for the advice

Update.... I got the motor to start peeing through The upper flush connector which made me happy, when I put the muffs on the lower unit and cranked up my motor it still Wasn’t peeing and then I heard the dreaded beep sound, I turned it off and calling it a day. When I put the impeller on I put it on the way I saw it which I believe was clockwise anyway tomorrow’s another day. I’ll take the low lower unit off again Sunday and tinker with it, I believe I missed the whole winter season unbelievable

OK I replaced my impeller, put my lower unit back on my motor still not peeing. I have tried flushing the Motor through just the moter itself still not peeing. Any thoughts??? I have a 2003 Mercury XR6 150hp 2 stroke.

Wow, thanks WRB and riverbasser for the tip. I’ll try doing it and hopefully get this project done. As far as the local boat dealer, the parts guy said we don’t normally have a tech talk you through it but give me your number and I’ll have him call you, this is day 3 and still waiting to hear back, this is of course the same place that I have been getting all my parts from to do all my projects, I guess I’ll be looking for a new parts place.

I have a 2003 150hp Mercury XR6, I was taking the lower unit off to replace the impeller. I noticed a cable going from the top to the lower unit with a silver clasp in the middle of the cable, I can not take them apart, does anyone know how to get this apart??? I do not have a service manual and have tried YouTube to see if I can find out on there. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I need to update on my motor not peeing. I have a new impeller just waiting to be installed, once it warms up to 40 degrees....lol

I replace my fuel line to my 2003 Mercury 150 XR6 and it started just fine. But now it doesn't want to pee, I see a little water at the bottom of where it should be peeing from. This couldn't be the water pump, could it??? Or could it be something else??? Thanks for anything input or advice. And Merry Christmas

Ok like I have posted earlier my wife is getting me a new rod and reel for Christmas. I have decided to go with a Ducket Triad but not sure if I should go with MH or H??? I love fishing MH and have 5 MH, 1 H and 1 M. I use the H for jigs (which is 7'6") the rest of the rods are 7' and 7'3"s and use for a variety of set ups. Just thinking I should have another H....any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

It was the left side and only the brake light worked. I think it's a good idea to clean the connection though

I have a 2003 Triton trailer and my half my lights went out. I was thinking about rewiring the trailer and going with LED lights. How hard is this to do??? Thanks for your advice

My amazing wife told me that she wanted to get me a new rod and real for Christmas this year, (I know how blessed am I???) I pretty much know the rod I want but was thinking about getting Quantum Smoke S3 bait cast real just to get something different. I have been using Lews reals and love them. Anyway, any thoughts on the Quantum?

I have put money into it already with a motor guide trolling motor and a Humminbird Helix 5. Was thinking about the new carpet and doing it myself but just don't have the means to do it so, I know the new carpet would do wonders for the boat and would keep it longer. Thanks for all the input.
