  1. just got my new X in...wow, difference is like night and day. MUCH snappier
  2. Had to call in 3 times before I got a rep that would send me a new one. All the other ones before said that they didn't do returns and I had to go to a store to return it.
  3. Got it already, .6 something...that vid was taken after the update. Happened before and after the update.
  4. I got my X the second day it was out [over night shipping] I've had so many issues with it. It freezes on occasion while typing, the only way to solve this is to lock the phone with the power button and unlock it. This also happens randomly throughout the day. I'll miss calls because my screen is unresponsive, or I won't be able to turn off my alarm clock because I can't slide to dismiss. Navigation will drop out randomly. On a 1.5hr drive the Nav dropped out 10+ times, it's like someone pressed the "back" button but it was on the dock. While on the dock with GPS on, the battery will not charge, started the previously mentioned 1.5hr drive at 90% battery, ended the drive at 60%. It never left the dock [yes my dock is plugged in, and I've check the connection]. Here's a Vid of one issue, this is using the swype keyboard that comes pre-installed. This happens about 25% of the time, whether or not I'm plugged in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RilWwMXnhs
  5. I like to skip under the over hangs there and work the frog. There's some decent bass in there, I've pulled two ~5 lbers from there, and many 3's and 4's. <--- that was from pocahontas Good luck!
  6. Multiple fish by length with preapproved measuring devices with specific unique identifier issued day of tournament. Trying to keep even 1 fish that's worth keeping is gonna be difficult in a kayak. you'd be suprised how far kayaks can go. Especially with 20+ going in different directions.
  7. I have mixed success also. I enjoy using the Rage shad wherever I would have used a buzzbait, the frog works well also. The Anaconda I can't get a bite on. The spacemonkey rips if a bluegill nips at it. I honestly do believe that they are overhyped and over priced, especially on these boards [of course the maker of these baits does frequent here so that might have something to do with it :] . They're just another bait in the arsenal not better, not worse than anything else I have. Some situations call for them some don't.
  8. I've never caught a big smallie out of this area, I think the biggest maybe...14 inches? It'd probably not be worth your effort .... now the bluegill here are massive....target those and you'll get some good eating fish.
  9. Woah 2008! Search function win.
  10. Haha, I've just been having a good season ;D All the fish were caught this season. From left to right, and top to bottom... 2010:03:17 2010:04:10 2010:03:01 2010:03:25 2010:04:10 Most in March, and 2 in April!
  11. 2.5lb ~4lb ~6lb ~6lb 6lb on the dot. Ruler + Scales = good ;D
  12. Didn't know it was anything special! Been using that method since I discovered braided line
  13. $20 says he'll say he didn't register them! ;D If he had caught 4 citation fish last year...he would have beat the total amount of registered citations in 3 years .... and have been short 1 fish with all 4 years combined...2006-2009 :
  14. Proof of citations from burke? Pics?
  15. Profit from damaged prop sales of course! ;D :
  16. My rule of thumb is that the leader shouldn't reach the spool when you're about to cast. Other wise any length you like.
  17. This makes no sense. Sounds like a good idea, but why not put a safety device on it in addition to educating people?
  18. Not that I agree with the decision or anything, but ... why can't they put safety devices like the fan guards over a prop? It'd probably save a few lives and prevent prop damage.
  19. Heya Sam, What lure have you had the most success with for bedding bass in Richmond? I've never fished bed bass before!
  20. If you're talking about the braid. Yes it's pretty stiff at first. After a few casts it starts to limp up very quickly.
  21. I second the BPS XPS Fluoro for leader material. I used 20lb on my 30lb+ braid. works great
  22. I've never had any luck fishing shoreline structure there. The things I look for there are drop offs, holes, and points. There's also an old road bed that runs across that holds fish. Good luck!
  23. So I recently found my old garmin etrex...I stopped using it cause I could never really find out how to mark points with it! Anyone happen to have one and know how to do this? Every time I try to mark a point it thinks it's a waypoint and draws a line to it. I want a mark points on one lake then be able to move to another and mark points without the unit trying to draw a 100mi line from one point to another!
  24. Oh geez, imho... Stay away from the owner phantom hooks like the plague. Tubes are one of my go to baits and I usually rig them using a 1/8oz unpegged bullet weight on a 2/0 or 3/0ewg. I wanted something a bit diff. so I tried the phantom hooks. Every fish I set the hook on that day with the phantom hook came off. 66MF casting rod. At first I thought it was the hook set so I really gave it to them. Still they would come off....Hookset...fight...slack... After about 5 fish I switched back to my regular setup and no more lost fish.
