Inflatable Bass boats?
Ahh space was also an issue, I wouldn't know where to put the canoe in my small apt, or if I could even get it on top of my civic, that's why I was looking towards inflatables

Inflatable Bass boats?
I feel that i could save up enough for a SE8 plus a Trolling motor, i've heard some good stuff about the Sea Eagle inflatables, any gripes that you have with yours?

Inflatable Bass boats?
once again I was looking into getting an Inflatable boat, mainly due to size and price issues... I've been looking into the Sevylor Fish Hunter 360 or the Sea Eagle 8 Has anyone tried either of these or used with success? Any recommendations? keeping in mind my poor college student income and size constraints? Thanks guys!

Kissing your fish
haha, I don't know about kissing my fish, but I do like to talk to them...tell them their beautiful and give em a gently pat on the back before releasing them.

Worst bass miss
My worst miss.... I was kayak fishing during the summer, it was mid day and the heat was pounding on my friend and I, who I somehow coerced into being my "trolling motor" while I fished =D I'd been trying the Zoom frogs most of the day around lily pads with no luck so I went back to the trusty Ikas and Senkos i'd been doing ok on. I start fishing along this bank when my trusty "trolling motor" told me to try over by this one small log that had fallen into the water with half of it in the water and half laying on the bank. I can over it onto the edge of the bank (lusky cast? thank god I didn't snag anything) and slowly work it into the water with barely a ripple. Before I know it I see my line start running off parallel to the bank, didn't feel a thing, not even a single tap only pressure from the line and the sound of my Citica's drag. Being new to fishing at the time my first thought wasn't even "set the hook" it was "hold on for dear life". After a few moments I then remember to set the hook so i point the tip of my rod down reel in a bit and let it rip....I then see my Watermellon Fat Ika come flying out at me...5lber atleast...woulda been my pb at the time...still upset, now before I fish I tell myself "set the hook set the hook set the hook"

New PB for 07! =D one resolution down! lol
Decided to fish a bit after getting off work early, started off cranking for a few hours and after nothing I switched back to the trusty ol' soft plastics, worked it just like RW always says to... nice and realllllyy slow over underground structure. I was fishing from the bank and wasn't expecting too much when.... Could anyone help me judge the size of that thing? I wanna say it's around 7lbs but you know...everything just seems bigger to me =P little video of the fish and me releasing it, nothing especial...sorry for my potty mouth near the end, I was too excited. Fish video! edit: lol sorry about the trash talk too =P it was for my friends who think i'm retarded/stupid/obsessed for fishing in the middle of winter...fish need to eat too!

Inflatable fishing boat!
I would but I don't have anything to haul it with =/ or a place to store it during the winter times =( i've been fishing off an inflatable kayak for the past month or so and no hooks in it, a few close calls but the plastic seems to be thick and inflated tight enough to deflect a hook!

Inflatable fishing boat!
I was looking to upgrade from kayak fishing to maybe a small inflatable fishing boat, inflatable because it's cheaper and i'm a poor college student and because it's nice and compact! What do you guys think about this one? Or if you guys have any others in mind please share! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009PY8YA/sr=8-1/qid=1156105743/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-4840283-9989424?ie=UTF8 description says I can tack on a small trolling motor and maybe if I toss in a floorboard i'll be in business!

quiet presentation
I find that it's much easier to skip the closer you are to the water, I can skip anything in a kayak, but being so close to the water and in a sitting position, it's hard to flip or pitch. If i'm having trouble getting a quiet presentation i'll cast onto the bank and gently twitch the lure into the water, I get ALOT more hits this way also it seems.

flipping n pitching
are these mainly a stand up technique? I have the hardest time trying to flip while sitting

how many people fish your lake illegal?
I think it's more that people don't know about the size limits, they'll see a bass that's a good 10inches maybe and keep it thinking that's it's probably big enough.

Fish Eaters: How do you kill em?
oooo ouch... personally...if they're still flopping around when I take them home, I double bag one in plastic grocery shopping bags and I smack em against my bathroom tub once or twice, that usually gets em.

help my hooksets!
Wouldn't the Bass spit the worm/lure etc out?

Photos of my replicas.....

Fishing fix during winter?
Ahh if you reread my OP it says something to the tune of "this is the first summer where i've been fishing more than once a month" meaning in previous summers I wasn't as crazy into fishing as I am now. Also i'm only asking because my friends were poking fun at my fishing "obsession" and wondering what I would do when winter comes around. (keep in mind the question came from people who don't normally fish, meaning they aren't thinking about how good the season is now) So I just wanted to know what everyone else did just as something to pass the time! sorry if I hit a nerve RW! just wanted something to keep my mind off studying orgo for a bit!

Fishing fix during winter?
Ahh mainly cause I have classes during the summer, Organic Chem 2 + Lab shoved into a 4 week timeframe leaves little time to fish =/ and my friends here at the library are wondering what i'd do during the winter time, so i just thought i'd ask everyone else!

Fishing fix during winter?
How do you guys get your fishing fix over the winter? This is the first summer where i've actually been fishing for more then 1 time a month, and i'm scared of winter!

How often do you go Fishing?
I try to hit this nice kayaking river/stream close to my place atleast once a week, fishing from a kayak is a heck of a lot of fun!
