Trailer compatible Hotels/motels
This usually works better than an online search. Even if there are not "designated" spots the clerk will have a good idea on the number of vacancies and how many vehicles to expect on a given night. Often times they will suggest an area that a truck and boat can fit without causing others and issue. If they have the flexibility, they may even be able to get you in a room where your rig is visible from the window. Word of caution: Seems like more hotels are using call centers for customer service. Be sure you are speaking with someone that is physically at the property. Good luck!

Does Anyone Miss Berkley Iron Silk?
Looks like I'm 10 years late to this party... Gave my stepdad an old spinning reel that was spooled with 10# IRONSilk. He got hung up and pulled 3 grown men and a 16' boat with it. I miss this stuff. It was my go to line when I was younger. IRONsilk, Gamakatsu EWGs and a couple packs of Senkos was all I needed to catch bass just about anywhere.

Buzz Baits : Toad vs. Skirt ?
My eye prefers a skirt, but I'm in the group that says they hold on better when there's a solid plastic. If they are swiping the skirt or just missing it I'll change color and add a trailer hook when conditions allow. If that doesn't work, the plastic replaces the skirt.

Noting lure weights
I take all the loose dividers out of a 3600 and I'm left with 6 rows. You can separate by style, color, weight, etc. That usually gives me enough flavor for the day. Tape and sharpie for labels on the lid if necessary. If you want to reorganize, peel off the tape and start over.

Feeling Inadequate....
I believe that's his 19.3 but I could be wrong. Please correct me if so. He's a good dude. Wealth of knowledge and willing to share. I can't speak for Tom, but I can guarantee that a lot more than luck went into his many trophy bass.

Fox a frog?
FYI SPRO's Policy: We stand by all our products, so we will replace anything you send back to us as defective. We'd like to see the defects because it gives our quality control team a chance to examine the problem and fix it. Our policy for replacing defective products is as follows: • Once the customer has returned the product, and we have had a chance to review the product, a replacement will be sent for each. • We will send one additional bait of the same type to cover your cost of shipping (e.g. if you send four, you will receive five).

Fox a frog?
@jbsoonerfan I appreciate it but it's all good. I have more than a few extra frogs and I do have one more in that color still in the package. I think it was an oddity that one expired so quickly. Thanks, though!

Fox a frog?
Yep, first day it saw water. It's a hollow body frog. It sucks in water and disappears to the depths.

Fox a frog?
I should really start listening to @WRB from the get go. Patch was a total fail. Thanks, Tom. Now I'm down to my last Killer Gill and they're back ordered for 2 more weeks ?

Fox a frog?
Appreciate the suggestion. I keep a few of the pad crashers for when there are toothy critters around but I prefer the Spro. I took it a step further and added some old elaztech to the equation. Now we wait ?

Buy new now or wait for used?
I finally decided I was going to buy a boat, which is also going to required a vehicle upgrade for towing. Made the decision with my fiance and went as far as to establish a budget. I can get a few extra thousand in trade for my current vehicle, but the new one would need to be ordered. Started pricing boats, and a couple year old model of what I am looking for is going for basically the same price as a new one. But new ones can't be found either. In fact, I haven't even seen one in person yet. I'm also struggling with what to do, and it's frustrating. If you have the means $ to do it, and what you want is under your nose...

Line crunching
Should. I get this all the time when pitching with Fluoro. I get loose wraps and even loops that go unnoticed. I'll turn around and make a full cast and retrieve once in a while and I'm good as new.

Fox a frog?
*Fix... Oops ? Anyone have a suggestion for fixing this guy, or should I just salvage the hardware and legs/skirt and toss the body?

bladed jig hook size
I don't make my own so I don't know how much of a hassle this is to accommodate, but when buying/fishing a bladed jig I prefer a 5/0 in 3/8oz and up.

So I bought a Ryobi V-MAG 3....
Maybe I'm showing my age, but when I read the title I thought we were taking a trip to The Home Depot. ?

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Nobody wanted to fish today in a soaking rain so I decided to hit up a farm pond. Thought I would share as this is the first time I've personally caught 2 over 5# in the same day. Apologize for the poor photo quality, but this time of year in PA I try and get them back in the water ASAP. 5-12 and 6-6. Grateful for Gortex!

Favorite Single Tail & Double Tail Grubs for Swim & Bladed Jigs ?
Yamamoto and Chompers both make a good 5" Double Tail. The Chompers scent is strong. Single tail I use the good old Fat Albert.

Savage gear real trout swim bait...
I bought this same bait... Savage Gear 3D Real Trout Swimbait (Baby Bass). 5" is a lot smaller than I anticipated, but the weight is much greater than I am used to. My "swimbait" experience is limited to a swim jig, or a keitech on an unskirted 1/8-1/4oz head. Can anyone chime in on effect retrieves to try with this lure?

Punch Weights/Lead Bullet Weights?
I'd be curious to see the shape of a 1oz lead bullet vs a tungsten of the same weight. Is it longer, large diameter, both? I would imagine either way it's pretty bulky. Might created a little more drag, but it'll work.

Skipping rod and reel
I prefer a MH and 17-20# fluorocarbon. I don't use Tatula, but I would have concerns that a heavy power rod may be too stiff. It helps to have a rod that will load and sling the bait in a smooth motion. If you have to muscle up skipping, bad things will happen. Promise. 7' is a good length for me (at just over 6' tall) but no longer than 7'3".

Most consistent color
Black. I believe it's contrast deal and the dark color offers contrast under different lighting and water clarity. Blue or purple flake boosts my confidence.

Carp ID Help
Caught this while bass fishing. The owner of the pond thought it was an Israeli Carp. Can anyone confirm?

Abu Zata
I saw this for the first time in the May Bassmaster: "At the end of the day the activity tracker will read 5,000 casts." Does this refer to a feature that explains the pricing? Can't find any other details, and it's not listed as a feature on any retail sites. I know they are putting the catch tracking button in the "virtual" rods, but why is that caption in the ad for the Zata reel? ?
