MLF Summit Cup
It helps a little. But it seems like the ones that are eliminated pop up again later fishing another one.I wish there was a bracket of different events, whos fishing them, who won, lost, placed, was eliminated etc.All I see is whats happenning with that particular day and a quick showing of rankings which I dont understand either.I know a lot of its me and no one else has a problem?? I still love the show.

MLF Summit Cup
I love the show but still dont understand how someone is eliminated ,moves on,rankings and all that. I totally get the fishing format, just dont understand the rest. Its actually more fun than frustrating to try and figure it out. The commercials are even good.My favorite is the line one with the japanese angler (His name escapes me at the moment )Summarizing what all the good ol boys said.I laugh or smile every time. I wish theyd do one on the st johns river.I used to fish it a lot,and would love to see where theyd fish and how.

How many carry while out fishing in the boat.
I do for remote lakes or the occasional water body in higher crime areas. I never do on my home lake since its private. In the boat I keep it in at arms reach. Its usually on me as I load. I really hope and pray I never have to use it.

Richmond Virginia
I have never fished with any ice.I keep seeing pics of icey water catches and that still amazes me.I reckon they have to eat at some point. To me, a cold front really affects the Florida strain largemouth where I am.They really get slowww. But when it warms up,the activity really improves. Some of my biggest fish were caught in winter here though. Yeah, enjoy your dad .Mines been gone For almost 9 years now.Taught me to fish, and about life and God.Best man I ever knew.

Gone but not forgotten............
The first one was Creme worms. The polka dotted black/ white ones were deadly in the home lake in the 70s.Then I moved on to manns' Jelly worms.Caught lots of fish, and my PB on them. Then, I moved on to culprits and fished them mostly in the 80 and 90s.Producto tournament worms also. The Cremes are long gone. Ive still got maybe 2 dozen old jelly worms from the day,and a whole side of a box with culprits,a nd a few tournament worms. I decided to try nothing but these worms in the lake one day a couple weeks ago. Very strange, but I got skunked. All I could think of is that all the scent is long gone, but that shouldnt matter that much? I got one follow on a tournament worm thats all. Going to try them again though.

Worst bass miss
Ive had several through the years that would qualify. probably the biggest fish I lost was when I was fishing a tournament at Rodman in '86 or '87.We were fishing isolated stumps out in the middle of the lake.I made a long, perfect cast to a stump with a T- rigged 7 1/2 inch red shad culprit worm.I was using either 14 or 17 pound Stren. Felt the tap,set the hook, and the fish never came 1 inch closer to the boat. She simply swam away and the line broke like a pistol shot.Cant say how big,but I was able to steadily gain line on my PB, which was 8 1/2 to 9 pounds. This fish I couldnt turn atall. Would have won the tournament easily with that fish.

Who would you fish with for a day?
Exactly. I would actually love to fish with Peter T someday,Hank parker,Shaw Grigsby,or Scott Martin.Probably wont ever happen, but its fun to think about. Never actually met PT.but he was at Charlies last time I was there and had a crowd around him.

Tell me about your best day on the water in 2016
Overall , I didnt have as many good days on the water as usual this year. All the bigger fish I caught ( over 4 pounds ) were caught individually on days when I didnt catch very many. Best day for me was probably the half- day I caught 22 including several in the 3 pound range. It was on labor day at my home lake.

Female bass anglers?
My wife used to compete with me every time.Lately she has had bad " luck" every time and now wont hardly ever go with me.I usually can put people on fish but for some reason it just aint happening with her!! Not lately anyway. My 11 year old g- daughter outfished me and my son several times.Even though she usually caught lots of fish, now I have to bribe or make a deal with her to get her to go. ?

Bobber slipping out of place, advice?
If you dont have that^^ use a bb shot.Just clamp it on right under the bobber at the depth you want it.

Decided to try the Ned rig today...I thought this didn't produce big fish;)
I went and got the TRD bait at Wal Mart. But they didn't have the jig heads. So I used a split shot.First cast caught one. Then I went out and only caught 1 more .Finally started fishing a senko and began catching fish.I thought maybe they didn't like the color or the lack of jig head was why.The TRD bait seemed so much stiffer compared to the senko.

Can Any Team Stop The Crimson Tide?
I think the SEC west is the best in football. The SEC east is weaker.I honestly don't know much about the big 10 or 12. but I don't think their lower 3 would win all 3 against our lowest 3. Even Vanderbilt would be competitive because of their defense. It would be fun to see them play more, other than bowls. But don't think that's happening! The thing with the SEC is that we beat each other up so bad all year that it's amazing that we still win so many Nat. championships. Its not always bama either, except recently.

Can Any Team Stop The Crimson Tide?
Acc and Sec are the best.In the last 10 years Ohio state is the only team that won outside of these 2 conferences.Sec won 7 and Acc.2 Most of the good teams in most conferences would be mediocre in these 2. I usually root for the Sec in general( unless it hurts Florida ) I just couldn't stand it anymore.Enough is enough. That being said ,I like Clemson and their coach.Happy for them.

Can Any Team Stop The Crimson Tide?
Yeah CLEMSON!!!!!

Skills and Strengths?
Nice! I need to do one on my little lake.

Can Any Team Stop The Crimson Tide?
Go Clemson ! PLEASE

Skills and Strengths?
I do it with spinning only.To me , the motion is similar to skipping rocks. The island in my home lake is great for this.It has a lot of downed limbs, trees, bushes etc around it. I like doing one side of the island with a backhand skip, and next time doing the other side with the forehand. And skipping under docks... man it's fun and productive!?The key is making your first skip within 5-10 feet of the boat and keeping on a plane nearly parallel to the water.Too much downward motion, and no skip.Too much upward motion, and you're fishing in trees. Pontoon boats are really good. They always seem to hold fish. You can sit at one end and skip all the way to the other end with a flip of the wrist.

Skills and Strengths?
What are yours? My strength is fishing soft plastics, mostly in shallow, weedy lakes. My best skill is skipping.I love to fish under docks this way,and skip up into brush piles, etc.Certain baits are better than others.Stick baits in 4 inch are my favorite.Skipping gets baits back where more fish are,and where they feel secure. Also the lack of a big splash doesn't spook the fish either.I sometimes do it for this reason even in clearer areas. I know it's not PC, but I occasionally do some shiner and bream fishing for bass.I consider that a strength as well. I'm getting better at froggin but got aways to go before I consider that a strength.
