I use a Inno rack and the Kayak Wing to haul my 12ft 11in Jackson Cuda LT on my Ford Focus ST. Two straps and done.

Dobyns customer service
Great customer service! I have 2 Dobyns rods and last year I hard a guide break off. Contacted Dobyns, they sent a pre paid ups label, 2 weeks later my rod came back looking like brand new!

New from PA
Welcome. Where do you live? I complain all the time about the total lack of public fishing lakes and streams in Northeast Pa.

Is Jackson Kayak Asleep ??
I don't know..... I think Jackson is doing a decent job....there's only so much innovation you can add on a yak. They have a standard line, LT line and HD, peddle drive....all the stuff others have. I have a Cuda LT and have been very happy with it. As a car top guy I was thrilled that someone made a 12ft SOT fishing yak under 70lbs. But out yes the fishing kayak market is crazy! Everyone wants a piece of the pie and a gimmick that one has that the other doesn't might gain that company a sale!

Unfortunate incident with fellow angler.
You did the right thing but it sucks that a$$holes like that know they can get away with it. I'm sure they laughed about it and will do it again. Shame.

Question for the kayak crowd
Personally I'd be looking for a little bit bigger yak. The capacity of mine is 350...I weigh 200 and with all my gear I'd say I'm loaded to about 250.

Kayak keel protector
I used Keel Easy on my Cuda LT. Went on fairly easy but a little tough on the sharp curves. I had it on for one year and it held up great. Still stuck on tight and protecting my keel.

Polarized Sunglasses - are they all the same?!?
I just bought a pair of Costa C-Mates. I can't see to tie lures. Ha. Haven't used them for fishing yet but they fit great and the "cheater" part is great!! I also have 2 pair of Maui Jims and their quality is amazing too.

Deeper fishfinder question
I've had Deeper for 2 years now and I really like it. It's very accurate and give me all the information that I really need. I'm a yak fisherman and I tie it on a short string and it floats next to me.

Tatula CT Type R? or Tatula CT?
I just picked up the CT online for under a hundred, mostly on fishnkamps recomendation. I'm new to casting and have only been practicing in my yard but I am absolutely in love with it! Easy to use, small, compact and built well!!

New to casting, suggestions?
I'm sure this has been discussed before but....I'm a spinning rod guy but I want to get my first casting set up. I realize learning how to cast a bait caster takes time and practice practice practice however is there a reel that may make the learning curve a little shorter? My ideal first set up would be a frog rod/reel.

Frog Rod setup???
I'm looking to get a frog rod too and it seems to be hard to find a bad review on the Dobyns Fury 735C.

fishing kayak decission
I'm a car topper and weight was a big issue for me. I seriously considered the ATAK but the weight just scared me away. Maybe check out the Jackson LT line (if you're car topping) I went with the Cuda LT and have been extremely happy with it. Otherwise the two you are considering are amazing yaks!

Kayak essentials
Yup. It can happen! I flipped on the Delaware River last year. Lost 4 rods and lots of odds and ends and my iPhone. My crate stayed intact! I was in about 17ft of water in moving current....I was thankful I had my PFD on. Like you mentioned it happens soooooo fast! Wear your PFD!
