  1. Always ALWAYS have one tied on.
  2. 110 Loon Whopper Plopper. 7lb 11oz
  3. Check eBay. Sometimes you can make an offer on a brand new Dobyns rod and they’ll accept it if it’s reasonable.
  4. They’re 10 min from my house! Great shop!
  5. I have a tough time believing that fish can see your line but not the huge treble hooks hanging off your lure. ? That being said I usually try to us the best line for the application.
  6. I have the Deeper Chirp + and absolutely love it! I have it tied in a short string and it floats next to my kayak. The detail and accuracy is amazing!
  7. 7lb11oz by far my PB on a 110 Loon Whopper Plopper.
  8. Tried Beltzville last night. Put in at Preachers Point, fished from 5pm till dark. Caught 1 smallie. Was marking bass all over. Most were in the 15-8 ft range or on the bottom. I am just not good at catching bass in the mid range. Tough lake!
  9. Nice one! I'm about 20min from Beltzville and rarely fish it anymore.....such a hard lake to fish! Or i'm just not doing something right! ha
  10. I’ve been using Deeper for about 4 years now. Works great for me, as a kayak fisherman.
  11. Few friends looking to do a fly in trip next year in the Quebec Canada area. We live in eastern Pa so we’re trying to keep our driving to a minimum. Not looking to do a 20 hour drive to get to a camp them fly....ideally would like to find a outfitter/lake that has bass, pike and maybe walleye. We’re mostly bass fisherman. Thanks!
  12. Love the MLF! Even my non fishing girlfriend watches it! MLF All Angles is great too....when the pros really explain what they used, how they fished it and the equipment they used. I also kind kind of like when a pro has a bad day.....makes me feel better about all of my “bad days”! Ha!
  13. I love fishing them. Always have one tied on and the pike and pickerel hit them hard too.
  14. I love the MLF! It make fishing exciting to watch on TV! I even got my girlfriend hooked on it. Seems like the pro's love it too!
  15. I’m using a Dobyns Sierra 692SF (6ft 9in) with a Pfluger President and 6lb flouro. Works for me.
  16. Hard to pass up that deal on a Dobyns Sierra! I picked one up too along with a Lews Pro G
  17. Purchased a Dobyns SA734C med heavy 7ft 3in rod. Pairing it up with a Lews Pro G. I plan on using this for an “all around” set up....I’ve had nothing but bad luck with Flouro (mostly on spinning rod set ups) so I’m looking for some ideas for line. I know there’s probably 1000 opinions and preferences.
  18. I have the 692S and absolutely love it! But I am a big Dobyns fan. I used the 692 in the Delaware river this past season for smallies with the ned rig and, for me, it worked great. Zero complaints. Oh and I'm a kayak guy too.
  19. I ordered a Sierra 734C last night! $119 for a $179 rod.....not that I need another rod! ha!
  20. I live in Pa but fish in Pa, NY and NJ and I get a license for each state. It's a small price to pay for doing "what's right". There's always going to be those, IMO, a$$holes who don't think they need to pay the small cost of being legal.
  21. I'm a big fan of the Bizzbait Pad Daddy. Not a hollow body but I love them!
