if your talking one of those bass hunter little pontoon lookin boats id dsay go with the john boat just get one at least about 55" wide. those little boats are light and easy but your really cramped on them. the only plastic boat i really like thats a 2 man rig is the sun dolphin pro 120 is bassically a big bass boat but compact. otherwise im goin with a john you can deck it and make it a bass boat and you wont be cramped.

yeah i cought my biggest doin it by accident this year also, i threw my fat ika out under a tree and then turned around to look at some rowers goin by real fast, well i thought i got snag and was just pulling on my from drifting, but then i seen my line shoot to the side and wham a nice bass and my biggest this year

well i probably wont be fishing in rivers except mabe the deleware once i get a new boat. i fish lakes for the most part

jerkbaits,and soft plastic would be alot smaller than stuff i use for LM correct. most of the stuff seems similar to LM fishing and i do all that now so what should i do diffrently to get away from the LM and on the smallmouth

ok ive never gone for smallmouth and have never cought one, but i do really wanna go for smallmouth sometime. i know RW made a good how-to on how to garuntee a bass catch well i need a how to for small mouth. i got not the 1st clue what im lookin for or what to use when goin for these guys. any tips on anything appreciated i really wanna get a smallie. Tips,structure,baits,depth? Ryan

im curious myself, i think and sudden change can send the fish for a loop but maybe its a positive loop like when rain comes in

a 5hp would probably move like 10-15mph on that little plastic boat. is it rated to hold that much hp, my 12' john only hold 3hp. lets break it down the best way i can. you have a 46lb motor now. my buddy has a 80lb on his 17ft bass tracker and it moves the boat about 3.5mph at best loaded. a 3hp electric outboard is about 150lb at full blast outboard so thats like 1hp=50lbs. my 30lb pushes my 12' john like 3mph and im sure the 80 would double that to about 5-6. im sure would do 6mph and thats at less than 2hp. now more than double that on the back of your tiny boat. its basically like gettin 5 of your motors pushen your boat

well you know what i meant obviously theyd be cheap knock offs, as far as the color the closest thing i see is the cherry seed but i dont believe thats it. i know they still make jelly worms its just that color i am lookin for that they discontinued.

im wondering if anyone here has a mold for the 6",8",or 10" mann's jelly worms. theres a color that they discontinued years ago and id love to get. if any of you have a mold and make these worms and would like to make a few bucks ill be glad to buy some if u can make the color i want. just thinking i guess the color is more of what i want maybe someone here would like to make me some worms of just the specific color im lookin for or possibly point me to a bait company that makes the color i want. The color is from what i know of strawberry red or at least that what my dad and my uncle called the red jellyworms when they made them. maye you know what color im talkin about if noone does ill take a pic of one i have... ive done some rain fishing this year and love it now with my new frogg toggs, but after a storm i usually never do good especially when its muddy

the lake im gonna be fishin is considered "cedar water" never seen it before im told its sorta brown, whats a good approach for this?

i had bad luck with my first shumacher charger it was the 6/2 amp cheapy for 25 bucks. i just brought it back and got the 12/8/2 amp one for 45 bucks and it works great tests the battery for me and chagrges it 100% then shuts off. my battery has been acting funny lately and i got 8 hours out of my 4 year old battery once it got a good charge. i like it i plan on useing it for many years

well for a new one the cheapest i found was $1360 but for the moneyn i dont see how you could beat it even at the new price its you only want a small boat. its holds the weight, handles 15hp, have place for 2 batteries, can mount a foot pedal motor has an areated live well all prewired with a front switch panel and lights already. im knda inlove with this little thing i wanna get one and sell my john boat for the small places my big boat wont go into

ok i just read the thread about stop thinking and just fish. well it got me thinking. my usually day of fishing is from 5-6am till about 3ish. now i really wanna start tourney fishing but before i start i need to get better and build a little more confidence in myself. to do i this i wanna know i can go out most of the time and at least put a couple nice fish in the boat if not a small limit. right now i go out and very few times ill catch more than 2 bass usually dinks also. my last 2 trips got me 2+ lbers but only 1 per trip. other times ill catch 4 bass but some not even keeper size. how do i go about gettin more fish in the boat. i sometimes do think to much and get stupid and start throwin everything i got all over tryin to get somethin and im not even in a tourney. bt other times im not panicing and i still dont produce enough. what can i try to do on my next outting to star reaching my goal.

i have almost the exact same size boat, usually you need somethin over 50" wide before its somewhat stable to stand in. me and my buddy when we first started fishing in my boat couldnt stand when we did it would rock and feel tippy and we would just sit so we wouldnt fall out but after standing a lttle here and there me and him can stand for quite a bit and fish we have become very good at balancing the boat and working with eachother to keep it stable when im by myself its even easier i just stand in the middle and keep your stance wide usually on an angle from one side to the other in opposite corners is best. if were moving or turn the boat we will sit.

ok i want a bass tracker but my moneys are not all there right now but i reall want a deck style boat. well ive never seen one of these untill a post in another thread and now im really into this little boat. my question is are these little boats stable with these decks on them. its got everything i need on it for a temporary bass rig untill i can afford a nice tracker. also if anyone knows someone sellin one used lemme know please.

man on man LBH im really really into this idea you got goin reading thru off the ideas has got me so hyped to see your work. i love the pic u made of the little bass boat it looks awsome. sense you want a vhull look maybe you could make it a little more older style V lookin to make it slightly more stable example this kinda bass boat shape opposed to the very pointy front

to be honest im not exactly sure where it is, like i said its my buddys dads and uncles possible buy so i dont know much yet. my buddy just called me earlier and was like holy moly dude we might have our own pond soon in pa. i know its about 1.5 hours from me here in NJ but even if i wanted to share it its up to my buddy sense its there pond if anyone else was allowed on it. if i can share i will. but anyway i cant wait

well not just me but you get the idea. my buddys father and uncle to alot of realestate stuff in PA and they just came across a 80acre lot with a 25 acre pond on it. they are buying it probably this friday and me and my buddy will have this lake in the middle of the woods on this private land all to ourselves. oh boy i cant wait to see whats in there this might be a chance to get a new PB and some very awsome fishing.i just hope i can get my boat threw the woods lol

RW if thats the case then wouldnt it be smart to fish the deeper water for the big'uns early instead of the shallows then

i dont get it if dawn and dusk are the best fishing times sense fish feed at these times then why is it that the biggest bass are cought midday?

yeah thats how it sounded for you, well im glad shes not like that i dont think i would tolerate that crap if mine did and id say cya later or tuff im doin it anyway lol. luckily she has her things like her animals and animal junk and i have my fishin and cars and fishin junk and performance parts lol. she thinks im nuts but i feel the same about her. i asked her yesterday how she would feel if i ever made it pro bass fishing. she was like oh i wouldnt care great for you. i said oh yeah you do realize id travel the country sometimes and fish for like 100-200 days a year. and you get lonely when i go for 1 day a week now lol.

hmm i dont think i have any memorible moments. d**n i think i need to send a friend flying in the water or sumthin. i remember one time i went camping and we pile everyone on my boat. i have a 12' john thats rated to hold like 300lbs persons and equip. well me - 6'1" 180lbs,buddy 6'5" 250lbs+,gf 5'3" 130lbs,gf's friend 5'11" 130lbs. plus atrolling motor big battery,poles, tackle box, 2 seats. lets see thats right around 800lbs in this boat. well needless to say the sides of the boat were about 1" from the water but we still got out there and i cought a nice pickeral oh yeah my boat was moving slowwww.. lol well anyway we made it back and its not that exciteing of a story oh well its the only one i got.
