  1. ok im trying to find a bass boat probably a tracker. i came across a 1991 tracker tx17. got a 9.9hp evinrude.yes i know its a small motor but in NJ most lakes are 10hp limited anyway so this doesn't bother me. still got the original trailer. it has some rust but dont seem like it wouldn't last for a while longer. everything seems to work except the speedo and aireator. motor ran good when i seen it. id still need to do a compression check and stuff before i bought it, but in the case its all fine does this sound good for $2200. has bearing buddy's also. the carpets all seem pretty good still. the floors seem for the most part solid but they do show there age. some spots on the side in the back have a little flex but nuttin crazy.
  2. yeah what game is that
  3. i was reading somethin and people said they were fishing weedlines and breaklines. what are breaklines?
  4. were u fishing in the rain or after? before and during is usually great fishing. after can be tuff sometimes
  5. i wanna go fishing in florida so bad, hopefully sometime in 07 ill make it down there
  6. awsome guys, days like that are are so cool to have. one after another is a great feeling like u are a pro lol
  7. they are basically the same just more of them and they are smaller
  8. wow couldnt take the cold anymore in 50's you guys are spoiled with your weather. i was fishing for like 8hrs in about 35-40 temps
  9. Olathe .... is that kansas , my aunt lives there
  10. well i know some lakes by me arent as deep maybe 6-10ft at most and if they draw them down or we have a drought the lakes get down pretty far. like others said just look for new structure in the water you have. i know sometimes we dont have option of deep unafected structure
  11. i believe in 98, but thanks that eactly what i wanted to know
  12. ok now that i know the diffrence betweenthe models of bass trackers, i wanna find out the specs. is there any place to find out all the specs on older boats. if not does anyone know what the beam is onthe older tx17s from the early 90's late 80's. i know the 175 is like 80+
  13. what comes to mind and i wonder about the wide angle humm. is if it scans this greatly wide angle how do u know if your actually on top of the structure and casting to it. could you be completely off because it might be 30 feet off to the side and u think its right under you. ive never used these finders im just goin on what im hearing from u guys here on how it works in this pic i made im guessing this is close to what it does. now u have this wide scanned area and u pic up say a rock pile. but its way off to the sie of the boat. how do u know where it is because most of us are used to it being directly under us or very close to the suroounding area.
  14. i dont think thats right, people can have 2 careers they dont have to be summed up by one. lets say that guy is a ceo of a company but wins the classic he might still make more being a ceo of a huge company but if you win the classic i dont care whos paying more your a pro.
  15. yeah i gotto agree i dont like teeth eitherbut id never grabb and hold up a fish with pliers especially one 5lbs.
  16. when ever i think of pro i think of someone who makes there living off of fishing or at least do it most of the time.
  17. nice reel but that monkey looks like somthin that might come to life at midnite and beet you to death with the reel
  18. im at work not but im not sure but i know its over 10 shimano clarus 6'6" MH, shimano curado 201 avenger 6' MH, abu Garcia reel buccaneer 6' MH, south bend cheapy reel BPS 6' ML berkley cherrywood 6' M with a rhino baitcaster Kmart 5' UL for snappers and sunnys abu garcia heavy 6" boat rod, penn spinning reel, for salt water on party boats about 3 really crappy rods for extras and beeting up on and for freinds to snapper fish a fly rod setup i dont ever use as u can see i have fished with some crappy equip but from the top listed setup im trying to improve that now with quality equipment.
  19. ok that setup is a little outta my price range ill have to figure somethin out hey lubina im guessing your the same lubina from the NJ bass anglers site right?
  20. im looking to get a couple 6-8" swimbaits for next year and im wondering what u guys think is the minimun equipment i need to throw these lures? i know alot of guys use ex heavy rods and stuff but can i get away with smethin not as crazy?
  21. i like minnkotas alot. my buddy got a 65lb minkota which is 24 volt and its wonderful i imagine the 100+ are just as good. ive always like minnkota and every motor guide ive ever seen and used was a POS. the 65lb lasted all day in a tournament and still have full power at the end of the day and that was working in a good amount of current and running across a lake 2 times. when i get a bass boat im gettin a minn kota for sure. also i lie there foot pedals
  22. it did help thanks, i have a feeling im gonna check out a few boats and test them to see for myself but i think i wanna go for the 175 with a 40 at least. maybe i can convince my buddy to sell his lol
  23. i went out 2 weekends ago and couldn't find the bass anywhere but i did hook up with this big and new pb pick on a white bleedingbait spinner bait. he slammed it with one of those big sideswipe splashing hits like big musky and pike do. awesome to see it, he fought like all hell. anyway it was 24" long and weighed 4lbs on my spring, forgot the digital.
