my 99 bass tracker has a 25hp 2stoke merc on it. im happy with it the way it is but if i can make it better im more than willing. the boat does take a little to get up on plane and move. topped out i see 20mph with 3 people including me and 23hp with me and my gf. this is with a fll tank of gas. im wondering would i see any advantage to getting a diffrent prop or adding a hydrofoil to the motor? im new to outboards so im kinda clueless is there any other little mods i can do to get a little more hp out of it? im big on modding cars and racing em so its in me to tinker and make things faster than stock if possible. just dont know outboards

yeah im thinking about extending the deck but i think im gonna start with little things. deck seems like a bigger project than im ready for still. maybe sometime in the summer or fall for next year. as far as the rod locker i was thinking that to organize it bit but the trackers are a little cramped and hard to get stuff into. being 3 of 4 rods are spinning i have bigger eyes and i dunno if they will fit in a tube like that?

yeah man, i have a 1999 tracker 165 and my buddy has a 175 and i noticed the same thing about the back extra 2 compartments. it seems like we have the space there for them but they just didnt put them in. hopefully someone will have some info.

i do want a clear screen im tired of a blotchy lookin mess i cant tell what anything is usually lol. but i just really want somethin very accurate i can trust and know what its showing is there

is there much of a diffrence between the clarity on the 320 and 480 or is it minimal? i would like to save the 50 bucks but if it really is worth it ill go with the 480

ok say your on a weedy flat or anything really when would you choose to swim a jig over say a spinnerbait and why?

i have a eagle strata veiw 128 now and its got a really low resolution and it seems crapy. if someone has somethi else to say about it lemmeknow but i think im gonna get my self either a eagle fishmark 320 or 480 not sure which i should choose opinions appreciated. also the hummingbird 535 and 565 look nice also but i dunno whats better and more accurate. any thoughts? this will be my bow mount finder. i have a eagle strata 128 fish finder on the front. im not big on it being low resolution and im thinking about the eagle fishmark 320. any opinions on the 128? is it worth keeping

do you fish from shore? im guessing you are if your hiking there. maybe next time pick up an inflatable kayak and a portable battery operated pump and get out on the water.

i want to know the best way to hook up and run the wires to a transducer mounted on a powerdrive motor. im not sure how the wires would run for the transducer down the motor sense the shaft slides through so much when raising and lowering the motor

ok well i took my boat out saturday on hapatcong. lots of fun love the boat but theres a few things that i need to change/fix. first thing my transducers on the back are mounted to low i think. they sit about an inch below the bottom line of the transom. when im cruising the drag in the water and make 2 big continuous streams of water shoot up and out the side of the outboard. they are mounted now with screws but i think i need to move them up a little..... how do you seal the old holes and whats the best way of mounting them back on. 2nd thing is my fish finders blow ***. the front one is annoying, if i get shallow it errors out and says its like 600ft deep and sometimes locks up beside being very low resolution. the humming bird on the console locks at full speed also and its just cheepy anyway. i wanna get a eagle 320 for the front but how hard is its to pull up the decks and run the wires? never did any of this before so its all new to me. also what would be a good console electronics choice? otherwise the boat ran great, motor starts right up and seems to run strong, i seen 20mph with 3 people, 23mph with 2 people on board. well i called tracker and they said to use a product called Aluminex made by marykate. its an acid and is used on aluminum hulls and pontoons.

yes it is. im not sure yet it seems pretty cool but i only used it for 30 mins i need to get used to it before i make a real opinion

well my boat has that greenish brownish water line on it and i would like to get it off. whats the best to use to remove this crap. my buddy is a professional metal refinisher so i am getting some chemicals to brighten the aluminum to new again but he said i gotto get the green line off first. well im not sellin the john boat. its part my dads and i still have a couple hog holes the tracker wont fit in i took the boat out a little yesterday before dark. god its so nice to sit on a deck and fish confortably lol

well over the weekend i finally got my first bass boat. thank god i couldnt deal with another year in the 12' john. picked it up saturday. its a 1999 bass tracker pro team 165. the boat is like new. got it from the original owner. its got a almost new 55lb power drive on it, 2 new batteries, 2 bank onboard charger, merc 25hp 2 stroke. 2 fish finders eagle and hummingbird but i think ineed to replace the front one its a cheapy. galvanized trailer and a bunch or extra maintence stuff with it. registered it today at lunch and im hoping to drop it in tonite and saturday im gonna hit a lake with outboards allowed so i can open her up. in light of the new boat im selling my john boat trailer and trolling motor is anyones interested im in NJ lemme know pics

hey guy haven't been on in a while but figured id pop in. anyway i wanna get a tattoo some time in the maybe near future and i want it to be of a bass. probably a jumping from the water pic or something. anyway if you guys could post pics of bass for me that would be great. i never thought id want a tattoo but fishing is the one thing that doesn't bother me to put on my body where everything else i know i would regret later. anyway im hoping i can find that perfect pic thanks to anyone who posts.. -Ryan-
