tryin to find these bass pro spinnerbaits..??..
the eyes are similar but its the blades design that i like it looks like regular spinner blades just the big willow blade is on a diffrent type of swivel that makes it loop big instead of straight spin

outboard still making weird noise!
way2slow, i wrote a reputable marine place near me about the noise and here what they wrote back to me "does'nt sound to be a problem. normal to hear that noise in a 2 stroke 25. if you chop the throttle quickly the motor has no load on it and the pistons kind of float causing knocking noise. slow gradually and see if noise is not their" what i explained further when i replyed to this was it wasn't just when i slow down but anytime its running after a fast run. i also noticed one day when i was out on the water in 31 air temps and 39 water temps the noise was like 98% gone. thats my reasoning for thinking its an overheating thing and the cylinders are so hot they make noises or detonate or sumthin

ok will do. the guy i bought the boat from did winterize it. gave me everything he used to do it also. i seen it start form winterizing it all smokey for a minute or two. i will try the piston thing. could these noises be overheating? im guessing no huh? i guess ill have to bring it in err

outboard still making weird noise!
well i started off with a sorta rattling//clicking/jumbling metal noise from the merc 25hp 2stroke on my 99 tracker after making runs across the lake and then slowing back down. i went over everything, changed the lower unit oil, drained the old gas and out in fresh 89 octane with some seafoam. also ran some spray decarbon stuff thru it along with new plugs. took it out 2 weeks ago the day i did everything and it was like 90% gone i figured detonation from really old degraded gas. well i took it back out this saturday and the noise is back just as bad as ever. i did put it in neutral and revved it a little to rule out the lower unit. it was really cold when i went out 2 weeks ago like 31 degrees when it didnt make the noises and this past saturday it was like 75 degrees when it did. the noise seems to only do it up untill a certain rpm range and i cant hear it after i start pick up rpms, in less engine sound is just hiding it. im wondering if its over heating. and like i said it doesnt make this noise till i open it up and run across a lake at high speed first. would that make this noise? not sure what else to do.... i believe it has a thermostat when it runs it will like dribble spit and then pour out and then dribble spit again on and off.

Question about charging trolling batteries
you might have bought a dual purpose. if it has cranking amps listed anywhere on it its a dual purpose or cranking battery. if its a deep cycle it should get you easily 8 hrs with a 27# motor. i have a walmart 27 battery not the max just the regular black one and it would go 8 hrs with easy on my old 30lb and even gos 8 hours on my powerdrive 55lb

battery charging question
its fine to charge with everything hooked up. the onboardcharger is meant to make life easy just plug in your boat and forget it

Using Ikas for Smallies
hey mike even though 12 feet or less is the best i have fished the ika in like 25 feet and its not that bad they dont sink as slow as a regualr weightless plastic sense they kinda swim down. if you dont have a large deep area go for it its produced for me on some nice 8-25ft drops

charging a 24v setup?
yeah i guess thats what ill have to do, i have a portable charger already a real good one just wanted to see if it was possible to do this without using it so when you charge the 2 batteries in series on there own bank, you dont need to disconnect them do you?
-
charging a 24v setup?
i understand it would show 2 more leads ifi was using 2 banks for it but i was wondering if hooking it up the way i had would work.
-
charging a 24v setup?
i would leave the starting battery to be charged by the outboard but NJ is mostly electric only lakes so there will be times i wont run the gas motor for a while would this not work? i know u can charge 2 batterys in paralell from one bank i would think if you can draw power from a 24v setup for the motor it would charge the same way? am i way off
