  1. could make them like the evolution jig with thick flouro so it would be invisible
  2. i just got in a order for a 3:16 baby wake, cant wait to use it. anyone ever you the bigger versions? have any luck.
  3. yeah i tried it and it didnt work, the hook and eye seem to be set off center from the bait. ill try it again though
  4. well i ordered a mattlure ultimate bluegill. i didnt have luck with the baby bass due to it running sideways but i am gonna give them 1 more try with the bluegill. anyone who uses them whats the best way youve found to work them, just crank em in? i also got a slow sinking castaic gizzard shad
  5. ehh, i dunno i think you might be able to do better for thr price but it doesnt look bad if u can actually get the 20hp running
  6. im beginning to love the drop shot. what im wondering is what kind of line can i try. lemme explain. i have a medium/light setup im using for this. and i have had 8lb vanish flouro on it. i can feel the lure and everything as im working it down deep. ive tried it on my mono spooled rod and i couldnt feel anything i was doing with it at all. my problem is the flouro is a PITA. it comes flying off the spool every time i try to cast and wraps around the tip of the rod constantly.. also its a little weaker it seems. anyway what kind of line can i use that will give me the sensitivity im seeing with the vanish but more manageable.
  7. ok im getting ready to look into buying a new bow finder and possibly a gps/finder for my console. anyway im getting a hummingbird 565 for the bow. i dont know anything about gps but i do know i just basically wanna be able to mark spots on lakes i find. im guessing all gps's do this. also the topo maps wont be a bad thing either but i dont think they will even have more than about 5 nj lakes for me on them so its more i wanna be able to find offshore spots again on a later date. anyway, what would you guys recommend. i need to spend the minimum to get a decent working unit. i didnt even plan on getting one but i think i need do. i did notice the eagle fishelite for 350 bucks but im not sure if there is something better or more affordable for me. any info n this subject is appreciated Ryan
  8. The areas I chose have 3 things all in very close proximity to each other. shallow water, deep water and a flat. (the arrow is a BEAUTIFUL point). Start around 5-8 ft and work your way out to the deep stuff. A tapering point that starts off shallow and runs out to a 40 ft depth just makes me want to cast at the picture alone!! in Borat's words,...veddy niiiice! ive actually tried to find that big point with no luck i guess i gotto try again
  9. LBH, alot of those spots have shallow water hazards why would you choose them?
  10. this ones easier to read and also a lake i have a tuff time on. this lake is 550 acres
  11. im coming in here a little late but better late than never. im in the process of learning to fish offshore myself. what i notice is i have a hard time finding steep drops, most of the time its a slow gradual decent to deep water. do these slow long drops hold or should i forget that and look for steep inclines only? i need better electronics i know this but even on my buddys high resolution one alot of times i see something down there but hell if i know what it is. i think one day i need to go out and only set up for deep fishing and stick to it no matter what. im going to post a picture of a map of a lake in my area, maybe you guys could mark the picture in paint show spots you would go to find fish. This lake is 2600 acres and main lake is about 40ft deep. i think its 7 miles long to give u an idea of what your looking at. i have other maps but this is the only on that has some detail to which you might help me
  12. im curious myself lets see how this unfolds
  13. d**n, im at work and cant watch the videos but i want to.... this stinks i could use some free evo jigs. im gonna watch whe i get home and hopefully 25 haven't watched yet

  18. well fished in my 3rd tournament ever, 2nd this year and i got the top five yet again. i took 4th place with 6lbs 15oz along with my partner. (open buddy tourneys). caught about 10 bass 7 were keepers so i got to cull twice which was cool and a first for me. we missed the money by 1lb 2oz. 20 boats fished the T and this lake is a place i usually do horrible on but it seems every time the pressures on i do allot better than i normally do. my best fish which could have went lunker was really skinny. was 19" but only weighed in at 2lb 10oz oh well, im still happy do be keepin up with the guys that have been at it allot longer im on the left
  19. well im at work now but heres a drawing to give u an idea
  20. prepairing for a tourney i figured id grab a couple old school lures and my dad gave me this mouse lure ive never seen. its plastic body with a rubber tail and a prop head that had a screecher inside. as it turns it squeeks like a mouse. anyone ever see one before?
