  8. i am wondering if i can fix this? i bought a new shimano sahara spinning reel a short time ago. i loved the reel it was on my fav list next to my phluger pres. really smooth. last trip out at some point it starting feeling ruff and grindy also a little harder to reel it. you can also hear it like something just isnt right inside. any idea what makes a spinning reel do this? i love th reel and wanna keep it but i cant use it like this now. ive only used it about 10 times and i barely use my spinning gear. i dont have any receipt for it so i dont even know if theres anything i can do. any help is appreciated. Ryan
  9. ahh, ok do all point have to extend out far under the water or is it anywhere land forms a point of some sort. im assuming its only where it extends somewhat under water.
  10. i think you gotto realize that just because your didnt know the limit laws for this lake, we all think its disgusting to kill that many bass regardless of law. if it was 1 or 2 over and you didn't know maybe we wouldn't hate so much but its bothers everyone on here to see someone massacre like that. bucket brigade!!! uhg
  11. ok i need to work on two things points and mats. i always hear secondary points and stuff, whats the difference from a point and a secondary point. i hear it allot in the talk of seasonal movement. maybe someone can post a picture of a lake and display the difference. mats. the lake i fish mats up on the top end thick in the summer. milfoil i believe. there quite a large area of it and i know for a fact there are big bass hiding in it. how do yous guy approach a large area of mats. do you just punch threw the first couple feet off of open water or get deep into it? also will you punch through every foot or so and work lmost every inch or punch once or twice and move a good distance? Ryan
  12. disgusting. really disgusting. no sympathy here!!!! jesus you people cant just buy some food.....
  13. ithought you said you forgot th camera

  15. yeah im on NJBA and BASSNJ but nobody is really giving up many tips for the place. i got 1 guy gave me some pointers but i figured id see what you guys would do. george are you a former NJ guy? you guide in florida right? my friend was telling me to come down to florida and get a guide.
  16. well when i was there we started casting towards the shore and working down the drops but after a few it seemed pointless because you could actually see the entire drop to like 16ft or more and see there were no fish on it at all. so it was like pointless to throw at someplace u can see has nuttin on it. i wound up cruising the shore looking for somthing. i think im gonna have to try light tackle and offshore anything
  17. ok heres my lake. 2350 acres around 200ft deep at the deepest. mostly a big oval with a couple coves in the 35ft deep range. drops off quickly everywhere from shore and heres the kicker crystal clear. and i mean CRYSTAL clear. in the evening with clouds i seen 16ft down no problem. this place looks like hawaii or sumthin. its the clearest lake in NJ. round valley reservoir, it hold the state record smallie and has some huge fish in it along with being HEAVILY stocked with trout. imo its NJ's california lake. anyway with this kinda conditions what should i be using to get these fish. its definitely not a shoreline lake because you can see the entire shore and that there are no fish hanging out there. 18. i notice the baby bass package actually makes it crooked. if u look at it from a top angle it curves the tail
  19. please tell me how you got her into fishing so much... i need to get my gf to want to go fishing....
  20. i got one of these baby bass like a week ago and it doesnt seem to swim straight. it goes up on its left side and i have no way of getting it to swim straight. anyone else have these issues with the baits. i wrote matt and he told me to try putting it in boiling water to straighten the body but it didn't work and i think its the molding of the body onto the hook. hopefully he will give me an exchange for the bait.... i was really liking the look of it to... Ryan
  21. i like the paper clip idea wow im a moron i need to think more lol Thanks guys
  22. tooth picks arent the problem dude, its the $1 tungsten weight i cant reuse because there a peg stuck in it
  23. im wondering how you guys do it. i really like the tru tungsten bullets and when i use a beaver i like to peg the weight but my problem is when i get done and i wanna take the weight off i cn get the peg out. i use a tooth pick. how do you guys get your peg out or what do you use as a better way of pegging they are to expensive for 1 use.
  24. i see this ram mount to support the head of the trolling motor in rough water and while trailering. i could really use this in my tracker 165. im wondering though is it removable or does it screw down permanently. i usually line rods on both sides of me and if the mount was on my right hand side i wouldn't be able to line rods there and it would seem kinda in the way on my little tracker front deck. any info? other ways of holding it down. i hate seeing my new 500 dollar motor getting banged around when i gotta go thru rough water. i have the strap towards the front but it doesnt do much for the head.
