Sadam had built no weapons. We had obliterated his ability to wage war in Gulf war 1. If Saddam had no weapons, why couldn't he prove he destroyed them like the UN resolutions required? Why did we find buried MiGs and chemical artillery shells? He was given options before we attacked via UN resolutions and inspection alternatives. He didn't abide by the resolutions... There were terrorists taking refuge in Iraq before the war, we found evidence supporting that fact. Sure, we've backed dictators like the Shah, but why did we do that? Because we didn't want communism to take over their countries. What would have happened if the Soviet Union had taken over Iran? Bad stuff. Communism has killed millions of people and containment was a worthy policy if you ask me....And we are NOT friends with Iran anymore. After the defeat of communism and their pursuance of different goals and adapting to extremist islam, we stopped supporting them.

Iraq and Sadam Husseing were reduced to a paper tiger after Gulf 1. Anyone reading the Dueffler report would understand why Sadam wanted to give the impression he "might" have WMD's. That didn't really argue against anything I said seeing that I didn't mention WMDs in my last post, but anyway....Anyone reading the Duelfer report would also know that Saddam was almost certain to continue persuing WMD programs (including nuclear weapons) if he could get sanctions lifted and therefore posed a potential threat in the future.

The difference though, is not that Iraq has oil, but that Iraq is a much more organized evil. Africa is chaotic. Warlords and factions kill each other, vying for power. In Iraq there was one man that was a figurehead for the oppression and murder. Also, remember, much of the destruction that is happening in AFrica was CAUSED by colonialism from Northern countries so I don't think many want to jump back in right away. Also, Africa's problems are heavily caused by factors like AIDS and extreme universal poverty. These are problems that are much harder and take longer to fix than having to reverse the actions of a regime like in Iraq. Iraq and Africa are NOT the same.

I've had cheapo eagle claws practically dissolve in my tackle box after they got wet for a while. I would say that some of the cheaper hooks made from cheaper materials would dissolve in oxygenated water, but some of the heavier hooks like EWGs and such would probably take a long time.

I want to start fishing some more soft jerkbaits like flukes and what not. I'm looking for suggestions on brands, colors, sizes and rigging techniques, and fishing techniques and especially some good jigheads to use. I'll probably be fishing mainly for smallies by the way, but they'll probably see some of those "green trout" as well...

If I am not mistaken, RW's picture is of 2 river smallies caught on the Ultra Soft line (6#). I remember him saying that somewhere. Yeah, but I don't know if that river has lots of rocks and/or mussels... To clarify my question, I usually fish a very shallow river with lots and lots of long slabs of rocks that are sometimes covered with mussels. Will Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultrasoft #6 be able to hold up to the abrasion it will receive in such specific circumstances?

Would the ultra soft #6 be strong enough for river fishing smallies in rivers with lots and lots of rocks and a good amount of mussels?

You're right about needing defense to win a championship, but you also need offense, something that the Bears can be sketchy on (looking at you, Rex)

The colts showed they can have defense during the playoffs against the likes of LT and the chargers. I think the Colts will win (even though I want the bears to win) because the AFC is just WAAAAAY more competitive than the NFC right now.

you're gonna need to provide me with evidence in the form of a reputable article or something of the sort to support your statement concerning Bush making "millions" on oil....simply saying that CNN or CNBC mention something doesn't equate to evidence. (And personally, I have never heard any refutable news broadcast suggest that Bush is basing his policy around helping the oil industry to benefit himself.) Some people suggest he is helping his supporters in the oil industry, but again, that's no more than speculation and assumptions. The issue is that we shouldn't have to pay these high prices for real gas. The gas could and should be cheaper than it is right now. We shouldn't have to accept the price as it is and look for alternatives, we should be able to drill in domestic areas and have affordable, higher efficiency gas. you mean like a high school diploma? Like the kind that the government provides with money from OUR taxes in the public school system? I'll admit that some people have a hard time earning a living and need help, but I think we should more closely monitor some of those people to make sure that they are actually doing all they can to become self sufficient.
