Itch to fish
I'm sure Brittle can be good, I just wouldn't bet the price of boat rental that the day you go is going to be one of those days but maybe that's just me.

High School Sucks!
Well you will figure out how to save the world from the impact of an asteroid. You obviously haven't taken enough calculus to know that only Bruce Willis can accomplish such a feat.

Private vs Public schools
I'm not sure I get the "stuffing it down your throat" idea...You are choosing to pay your own money to send a kid to parochial school...what part of that is mandatory?

Private vs Public schools
I don't believe preschool is even necessary, let alone for $9k... In general, public schools can be more than good. It just depends on the area and the school districts. Public schools in my area send plenty of kids to the same colleges and universities that private school kids attend...except the parents of the kids who went to the public schools didn't waste tens of thousands of dollars to get them to the same place...

Itch to fish
The darker water is warming quickly. Almost 60 degrees last I heard.

What kind of fish is this?
it does kind of look like a white perch but the mouth and spines aren't right. It's a drum

Sebile Soft Magic Swimmers
I like em! They are a bit easy to rip, but I think they are worth $8. I have had success fishing them in and over weeds.

Itch to fish
I seriously think you'd be better off beating the bank than paying to fish a place like Brittle. You are very likely to get skunked at that place, why pay for it? Ponds that have been muddy lately are warming up very quickly. If you can find some that are starting to clear now, they should give up some fish although with more rain today that might be hard.

G.Loomis rod for $100
I just don't get it. It's still going to have a blank that is similar to all the other $100 rods. Just because Gary made it doesn't mean it's going to compete with the other rods with his name. Hooray for the split grips but what's with the foregrip?

st. croix premier or st. croix mojo bass?
People argue that split grips offer marginal improvements in sensitivity and reduced weight. As a consequence, they are also more likely to be tip heavy. I just like the way they feel.

st. croix premier or st. croix mojo bass?
Which one did you like more aesthetically? Pick that one.

Hard Jerkbaits
As with most moving baits I like something with a white/silver belly and a dark (black/blue/green/brown) back.

Line Backer?
x2 on everything. Look for big spools of house brand monofilament to go on sale and then buy a spool or two.

Deep crankbaits
x2 !!! , those colors are hot Right?? Maybe I'll buy a couple just to see if their quality has improved.

Deep crankbaits
good to know. I'm glad you mentioned the Go2 series. I was leaning towards them. Those "Crystal Threadfin" and "LA Shad" colors were really tempting.

Deep crankbaits
I'm just worried about some of the stuff I've heard about banging them against rocks and the narrow lip breaking off. Although the deeper ones look like they are quite a bit thicker. Someone convince me they don't have breakage problems! As for the Normans, the only two I've owned have run crooked so I'm not super happy with them. Don't you know how to tune them? Kelley yes, I know how, my fingers just aren't strong enough to bend the d#*n metal! ... ;D I just don't want to buy a whole box of cranks and have to tune each of them...it's a quality issue for me.

BIG Logs in the Potomac! Trip Report
Yeah, from what I've heard about the status of the river it is probably best to stay away from crossing the main river. I'd probably launch from one side and stick around that side. as for the snakeheads, I'm not sure what would be the best way to catch them right now but in the summer you will catch one in Pohick if you throw a frog over matted grass long enough.

Deep crankbaits
Anyone have opinions on Mann's GO 2 Series, Strike King Series 6, SK Series 6XD, or Bomber Fat Free Shad (BD-7)? I'm basically looking for any advice related to quality, running depths, and durability.

New to Tackle Warehouse NEED SOME HELP!
You are going to get a thousand different answers to that question. Just look up a thread about a type of bait you want to try and see what people recommend. For instance, you are looking for jigs. We had a pretty long thread about jigs just a few weeks ago. Most of the brands recommended are going to be available at TW.
