  1. I posted a recommendation for "Shoe Goo" but it seems to have been lost or something. Anyway, check it out, it's a sealant for boots. It might be worth a shot.
  2. I am down for whenever but I think it's really gonna depend on the water temps and the weather.
  3. now that's the kind of info I was looking for. Thanks John. How much should I expect to pay for a quality pair?
  4. That's what I get for not checking some of the forums very often. Thanks.
  5. Exactly what I was going to post. You can use the same rod to do everything but some rods and reels are better at certain applications than others.
  6. I don't quite know where to post this but I guess it kinda fits here... I'm thinking about ordering a pair of waders. I have no idea what I should be looking for. From what I see they vary in price a LOT I know that there must be a reason for that. Can anyone help me find a good pair that will keep me dry and warm without breaking the bank?

My brother and my mom both have one. I never really got the point. I have a 14.1" laptop with 3GB ram, 360gb harddrive, and 2ghz processor that cost me $450. It's a heck of a lot more computer for not a whole lot more cash and realistically, it's just as portable.
  8. When the lure is under a float the line is vertical, it's at an angle on a retrieve so I'm not sure if that would work.
  9. We don't even have trout where I fish them and the bass still love the trout patterns.
  10. the fluke would have to be evenly balanced. Maybe try a keel weighted hook? It would make the fluke horizontal but it would also sink
  11. This is the only "big" swimbait I've used but I LOVE it. I have the 3 piece model though. I have both, but I prefer the original single jointed model. The 9" Dark Trout is one of my all time favorite baits. The only reason I ended up with the X2 is because TW didn't have any of the single jointed baits in the colors I wanted at the time. I'll try the single jointed bait eventually...probably one of the giant ones
  12. you're trying to get a lure to sit horizontally "similar to being vertical"? huh?
  13. Dark Rainbow.
  14. They're lathed dowels with hooks hanging from them...they look like crap compared to some other swimbaits but I'll be damned if they don't catch fish.

  16. St Croix. They have the best warranty in case you need to send your undies in for repair.
  17. If you are using braid and a suitable rod and still can't hook up with a Spro then you need to work on your hookset. That said, I fish with Spro and Tru-Tungsten frogs
  18. I had it for a couple years. I liked it a lot. It has very good detection rates. Is it really 'techy', or is it more user friendly? Apparently it used to be techy, but the newer versions that I used were not. I don't think it was any less user friendly than Norton or McAfee but I'm more of an intermediate/advanced user so I couldn't say exactly how a beginner would see it. You can download a trial to check it out. DO NOT INSTALL IT UNTIL YOU UNINSTALL OTHER ANTIVIRUS PROGRAMS. It doesn't like when other A/V programs run at the same time. Also, if you get rid of it, make sure to uninstall it before you install a different A/V program.
  19. Good program but doesn't provide constant monitoring, only an on demand scan. (Unless the paid version is different than the free one)

  21. I started throwing bigger baits (7-8 inches) this season and I'm on the fence about getting into the really jumbo sized baits. I know what you mean about switching baits. I always find myself putting down my swimbait rod for my jig rod basically whenever the sun comes up. Most of my good swimbait days have been in low light so I have trouble not switching to the jig once the sun comes up.
  22. maybe he was just sleepy!
  23. lazy *** won't even type the whole word... Congratulations Ronnie, we're all happy for you!
  24. BUY ONE. The progs you buy are better than the free ones, no matter what anyone says. If you're careful a free one will probably be ok, but you're really better off if you just pay for one. ESET NOD32 Bitdefender TrendMicro PC-Cillin Kaspersky Antivirus All are highly rated. NOD32 uses the least system memory as far as I've seen, but it's also the most expensive. I have Bitdefender. I got 3 separate licenses that last for 2 years for $35
