FWIW, I had a trout series Matt Lures bait that I didn't care for at all.

What the @#$% is this thing....
what's hard to tell from the picture is that it is 5" long and weighs 1.5oz. I think I need one.

Yozuri Hyrid vs. Invizx
if you run ultra soft through your fingers with a little pressure on it then it should be limper than most lines. If not, it's old

Is that the trailer for Transformers 3?

Yozuri Hyrid vs. Invizx
Invizx is more abrasion resistant and clearer. It also sinks because it is FC. I use Invizx for spinnerbaits, finesse stuff, and bottom baits. I use Hybrid Ultra Soft for topwaters. My experience is that both are pretty limp and manageable but Invizx is slightly more so than Ultra Soft.

I prefer the History channel for naps. Something like Modern Marvels. ;D But no, I'd rather watch the Olympics than a dog show. It's dogs running around in circles followed by dogs standing still in good posture.

Need help interpreting maps.
If the topographical map doesn't show depth lines of the actual lake, you can check the elevation near the water to get an idea where there are deep shorelines. Steep bank=steep drop off in front of it (not all the time). Of course you don't need a map to do this, you can just look at the lake when you're there and get the same information.

Best Swimbait $40 budget
I searched on google, but couldn't find these online. Can you post a link to where I can buy that? You cannot buy from Academy online as of now.

Any of you ever been in a bar fight?
never been in a bar fight. Although one time at school on Halloween (Halloween at JMU is amazing) I saw one scantily clad girl beat the living bejeebus out of another scantily clad girl across my friend's backyard. (There aren't really any bars at JMU, it's almost 100% house parties) It was a girlfight, but only one of them was fighting like a girl. I'm talking full blown wind-up punches to the face, knocking inferior girl to the ground and more punches to the face. The girl who was getting punched didn't even know what was going on. Me and my buddies were just standing there with our beers in hand like the guys on King of the Hill saying "yep... that's pretty cool" - "yep"

Opinions needed on Daiwa rod
For jigs of that weight in vegetation, go for the heavy. I haven't used one of the Cielos but they look like nice rods.
-
using worm binders to hold your soft plastic bait ?
I use the smaller binders for spinnerbaits and jigs.

You supplying the gear and baits? Sure, but you only get to throw floaters. ;D where's the danger in that? ;D

Split Grip Casting rod
When the rod weighs 5oz or less, a "little" cork is going to make a noticeable difference in overall weight. I think increased sensitivity makes perfect sense. A blank is a tube right? It sends vibrations up and down it's length. The less material you have touching the blank, the less material there is to absorb and/or disperse vibration. Sort of like putting your hand on a rattling snare drum.

Split Grip Casting rod
They are a tad lighter and marginally more sensitive (some argue that the change in sensitivity is not enough to notice) I prefer the way they look and feel.

Help Me Out Here
1. No 2. I would consider it, yes. 3. Probably 4. Yes, but only if it was also at the event I was already attending.

senko casting help?
30lb power pro has the diameter of 8lb mono. That's a smaller diameter than I would use, but it shouldn't be causing the worm to rip. Braid is fine for senkos, lots of guys fish them with braid. The only other thing I can think of is that your reel isn't properly calibrated so you are having to cast extra hard to get any distance.

Jerkbait Thread
haven't used them but I plan to try them soon: http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/crankbait-bodies/341521.aspx# they look just like Pointers. You have to add your own split rings and hooks.

senko casting help?
Sounds like you are casting too hard. How are you hooking it?

A frog i can hookup with?
So true. Some people have no idea what "crossing their eyes" even looks like, let alone how to do it properly. (I'm not speaking of anyone here in particular or anything, just making a general statement)
