a better boat. Burley and I had a club tourny on Guntersville yesterday and today. As you can tell we aren't fishing today. We got into Scottsboro on Thurday and pre-fished and found a pattern we were gonna use on Friday and today. One big problem we got to the ramp yesterday morning and the weather had turned to garbage. Wind and rain, rain isn't a problem but the wind kept us off of our pattern and pretty much in my small BassTraker Pro17 kept us off almost all paterns we tried. We were out for about 2.5 hours and couldn't do much at all that little 40 lb. trolling motor did all it could and we still got blew all over the place. Headed up into North Sauty and as soon as we crossed the 279 bridge I couldn't even get the boat to plane in those 1'-2' waves so we had to turn around and head back to calmer water. We got so frustrated and weren't able to get anywhere to fish and the weather report for today wasn't any better and the winds are double what they were yesterday we just decided to leave and come on back to Virginia and beat the snow that was expected here and started this morning (got about 2" so far). Burley has all the pics and I am sure he will be posting them later. All in all it was a decent trip we just couldn't do anything with what we had to work with, better to be safe than sorry with the big boat handicap we have.

Stopped by and picked up Burley yesterday for our club meeting and his "friend" had left the new one there and I have a "friend" that really liked it and will most likely end up with one as well.

He was over to the house quite a bit this weekend, and Friday was in the house alone while I was in the shower. Gonna have to do an inventory when I get home this evenin.

The JCC Burley is talkin about is only a mile from my house. And back on topic I sell and install truck accessories.

The Bucket List-- Absolutely great film. This is hands down gonna be in the top 3 best for the year. Of course how can you go wrong with Jack and Morgan Freeman.

Gaurantee within the next 2-3 weeks you will be hearing about a lawsuit because these 5 were able to get on the runway and the owners new it was a problem and didn't do anything to stop it. I don't understand why everyone is so surprised to see someone out like that. They are just regular people like you and I, they just got alot more money and more people know who they are. But all in all they still like to go out and be just normal people. Although it is nice to meet them and talk to'em like that. Troutfisher: You may be interested to know, since you said you were at a bluegrass convention. That Ralph Stanley and Jim & Jesee McReynolds are from my hometown. I see Ralph all the time and know him quite well, he and my grandfather grew up together and were good friends.

Well he does live in VA. Now your making me wonder about my fishing partner, and do I really want to go to Guntersville and spend 3 days with him. :-? Eh f'k it the fishin there will be worth it. It was in GA with Randall last year as my avitar shows.

I've been debating on these 2 as well. After handling Burley's Cumara I love it, but I also love the color on the Carrot Stix and from what I have read they are very comparable. And I can get either for $150, the Cumara's are only $159 at a shop here. The Carrot will push my hand to getting a Sol instead of a Zillion to put on it, only problem here is the gear ratio on the Sol is only 5.8 and I would like a little faster.
