Well here is the latest update on the lure and it's journey. I have had it for 2 weeks and finally got to fish it this weekend and took it to Kentucky with me. I fished a small lake on saturday and had no luck with it so I decided to get up Sunday morning and head up to a couple of ponds we have and give it one last try there. Well this was the right move, not much size to them but I ended up catching 9 and missed 3 more. I was about to change the treble on it so as not to miss anymore but it came to me with these hooks and it will leave me with them. I didn't get pics of 2 of them, dead batteries in cam. Not bad for only staying up there about an hour. I do think that Burley touching it did curse it to only catch dinks now. :-?

Can't believe they are letting Varner turn into that. I loved that place and was looking forward to getting back down there with you sometime, and of course bringing Burley (IronWalnuts) to gaurantee I catch the big one.

Have to agree with IronWalnuts, Dickerson deserved that fish as much as anyone and had good reason to have a strong emotional attachment to it, it has been his whole life for the past many years. I have to agree as well that the record will most likely come from El Salto or Falcon or one of these bigger more southern lakes that have the extremely long growing seasons and with the evergrowing awareness of the world record and the measures anglers take to preserve big fish and release them in good shape to keep growing.

Well even Randall can only do so much, he put me on the hawg in my avitar but he still couldn't help IronBurley, the Dinkmaster lived on in the Peach State. ;D ;D

I would go with the lower end near the state park.

The fish is a chunk but it is short, I would lean more toward the 7 lb. all those fish have big bodies but they aren't very long. Anyway that was a great day.

In the first couple of responses it was said that no walk-ons are allowed and we should do the same. That is the norm but this was an OPEN tourny and anyone is welcome as long as they are in a club somewhere. I do agree with a dead fish not being allowed in the Big Fish weighing and not eligible for the money, but dead fish do happen and still allowed in the regular weigh-in with a penalty. Had one die on me in a tourny last year just glad it wasn't my big one and I won big fish, that is the last time I use Rejuvenade gonna use Please Release Me this year.

Love frogs, the second biggest fish I caught last year (7 lbs.) came on one on the first cast of the day. I have been pushing it a little and throwing them allready this year when I know it is still way to cold.

I thought it was as good as any smoked chicken I have had, you have to consider I don't usually smoke my chicken I grill it in BBQ sauce. It was better today for lunch, had more flavor in the meat itself.

Now that was some dang good bird right there. The rub was good, could have used just a tad more bite but the beans more than made up for it, give it up to Bush's they have come up with a winner with their new Grillin' Beans. And the oatmeal cake with homemade toasted coconut icing your wife made, you don't know how hard it was to resist not stealing what was left. You should have packaged up that nasty Manichewitz and sent it to your buddy in NJ. It would be perfect to drink through a doggy door.

Latest update, got the lure in the mail this morning. Will hit the ponds this week and see what smokes. Burley, uhh Dinko the Clown is off this week so he may want to take it and see if he can get one of those monsters he has been pulling here lately with it.

I was talkin color with my partner in the last tourny I fished and he said it didn't really matter since bass couldn't see color anyway, best part of this is he runs a paint and body shop and he is allways doing his own custom paint jobs on lures.

It's been the only lipless to produce for me this year. I have used XR's, diamond shad's, and Cordell spots. Have had the problem with them running weird but I can't find anything physically on the bait to cause it. I have had the same issue with the eyes coming off my SK series 4 cranks (sexy shad) that have been my best producers the past couple weeks.

He's going for the line class record. But he needs to switch to 80 lb braid if he plans on bringin in the monsters consistently. Got a decent sunfish in the boat on a swimmin senko saturday, it was on 50 lb Power Pro braid. I watched it come up and bite the tail and I just reeled it in steady and it wouldn't let go till it hit the boat floor. First fish in new jon boat and didn't even get to set the hook.

I say either side of 3.5 pounds. Much bigger body than the one I weighed in at a tourny two weeks ago that was 2.67.

I didn't recieve my rebate yet, but I did get a letter a couple weeks ago that they needed the UPC off the box to process it. Funny you would think they would have put that somewhere on the rebate form, I read everything on it looking just for that and it didn't say anywhere to put the UPC with it just a copy of the receipt. So I guess I am in for anouther 6 week wait, oh yeah it was 6 weeks before they sent asking for the UPC.

I'm ordering mine and Burley's this week. I am getting them from a supplier in KY that just picked them up. I signed up with them to start selling fishing supplies here at my truck accesories store.

I have 2 Quantums, one Energy PT (fairly new bought used) and an old Bill Dance signature model. Burley makes fun of this reel all the time and all I have to do is remind him that reel pulled in one fish that was twice as big as any he has ever put in the boat. I also have Shimano's but I consider myself part of the Daiwa posse.
